It would be posted as an opening thread by the host or hostess early early AM. Each lady could post what they are offering for a discount. It could be $ off or free time. There will be a poll so the ladies can vote for what day works best for them. They can advertise anytime during that day and their special will only be for that day.

Since this is season right now ladies may want to wait till summer but bringing the question up and starting conversations now can't hurt. Also some ladies may welcome this idea now.

I also need to get an OK from TER Admin on what can be posted in your special ad for that day

This is a novel concept, but COULD lead to the perception of favors for reviews. We all know that there are often discounts for frequent fliers or preferred customers, but coming out and posting it might lead to scrutinizing reviews and reviewers.  I see nothing wrong with doing this, but I am just playing Devil's advocate.

Should individually run their specials without pressure from the herd.

It could look like two things. A post of desperation or a post of opportunity, both just additional ADS. I think providers have enough ads between the ad board and the theme threads.
We don't need more desperation posts, we need substance.

First, I think something like this is a can of worms waiting to be opened. Some girls have *never* offered specials and *never* will. I'm sure there will be a lot of pressure put on them and a lot of ridiculous, waste of time inquiries asking if they offer discounts, so and so does, why don't you so on and so forth.

Second - one of the first rules (as taught by the old-schoolers in my day) is that you never undercut the industry rate with discounts because you're affecting everyone else around you and possibly affecting them into lowering their rate due to the competition. That can start a trickle affect.

Third - a general rule of business in the real world says that to repeatedly offer discounts and reductions implies that the product or service you're offering isn't very good or is lacking something in some way.

Providers work really hard - from the plethora of fresh weekly mobile shots for the discussion boards to daily board posts, studio photo-shoots, emails, client screening, meeting and rendezvous behind closed doors - why would we want to start a monthly competition (and possible cat-fight) that ultimately deflates our rates long-term in general and takes away from the hard work many of you/us do?

Carolina and Phoenix Boards - but some regular ladies complained that they would get less ad time because they did not run specials.  It also added Mod work because some ladies would advertise it as a special but when checked the price was the same as what was posted on their site... or profile....

Chicago and DC tried it as well

If so you know that many don't stay in Florida. I know of so many ladies who run specials all summer long and post them on EROS and BackPage. I think if it is done there then why not here besides if you go back before season you will see many ladies offering something to get the gentlemen interested in their
florida ads. I don't run specials myself but do give free time and go to lunch or dinner with regulars off the clock.

Daego ran a special such as this on the regular Board not the ad Board and a few girls took advantage of it. I know Toni who was down the keys at the time, another lady from the keys and then someone else. It was a weekend so very lack luster attention by the ladies but they might have taken advantage if they knew ahead of time and had a say in what was the slowest day for most ladies.

If it was planned and advertised and all played fair it could be a win for many ladies who die from boredom in the Florida summer heat.

I can just drop the whole thought but seems a shame no one steps up to the plate to say something

I personally do not offer discounts mostly because of the same reasons stated by Lola.V.Tampa. The "discount"  that you said I offered was for Breast Cancer Research where I donated the money. It was a one time only offer for a good cause. That is different than "running specials".

Florida can be slower in the Summer and that is the reason most all of the ladies travel. Perhaps though there may be some other Florida ladies that think this is a good idea. If you get a good response, then great, go for it...

...or discounts, offer as many as you want. No one will stop you. TER allows you this.  You have the perfect venue for that, your own separate board that TER created for providers to do that....the Regional Ad Board, so go ahead & start advertising your specials on the Florida Ad Board. You're allowed to do that once every 7 days. Just add to your advertisement thread a post about the specials you're running. TER is so awsum about that!

I'm wondering Haley if you were not aware of the Regional Florida Ad Board, as you have not placed an ad up their for over 4 months, I think since TER started the Regional Ad Boards. Go check it out, it's a great "Free" venue for providers. No VIP necessary.

Running specials does not mean that a lady needs to bottom-feed.  I ran a special (out of town) during the Super Bowl.  It was offered to only 1 guy on a first come first serve basis.  I was stuck in a hotel room, and wanted company for the game, so I offered the entire game for the price of a  hour date.  A very fine gentleman took advantage of the offer, and everyone went away happy!
