"This thing of ours" *should* be a private endeavor and have at least some basis on honor. I know that's crazy talk since many are cheating / breaking vows they have made (which throws honor right out the window)....but that's a discussion for another time.
Point is that this is not something to be engaged in by the careless or stupid.
If you want / need an alternate identity....then you establish that alternate identity in ALL ways.
Get a 'burner' phone. Establish email accounts on other servers than your private (gmail vs hotmail). Don't use the same passwords for anything. Don't use your alternate anything on something like facebook or twitter.
One would think it's common sense....but it SO isn't.
In all my years in this, and being a board moderator, I've found two......only TWO people who are impossible to find.
This....out of hundreds.
It's not hard to be anonymous, but it takes a plan.
If you don't plan correctly...the stalkers will find you.
And no....it's never "ok"
