None other than Target! Believe it or not, they have a whole CD section for dummies! I have several...their titles are

1. Massage

2. Yoga

3. Relax

My mentor always told me "K I S S", and that is good medicine! LOL!

In my three trips around the block in this hobby, I've seen just about every type of "Mood Music".

1) Beatles songs. I found myself mentally singing along to Love Me Do to the point that it was almost a distraction! This was one of my very rare ventures into the world of the 20-somethings.

2) Clock Radios. Nothing sensuous about hearing the latest car ad!

3) LOUD radio. "So that the neighbors can't hear me through the wall"!

4) Hopping up three times to play with the radio volume. So much for that "mood"! Shouldn't the volume be set well beforehand?

5) Soft, oriental, continuous play instrumental. I barely could hear it but I found it very sensuous and relaxing all nine times that I visited the wonderful Helen! My all-time favorite "mood music".

6) No music at all. I actually enjoy the "music" of my partner's sounds, moans, guidance, utterings, etc. I find it a very erotic addition to the entire environment.

Comments or stories? Ladies, do you do anything special in this area?

Playlists into my Ipod and use those.  I take music from what I either taught (yoga, pilates, meditation) and from what I participate in (bellydancing/striptease classes) and mix the sounds into a sensual blend.

No rap or tribal stuff, and surprisingly some ladies have that exclusively on their laptops or i-pods.

My girl Heather in Pinellas Park had some smooth jazz on the box when we were getting it on, and for a time, the music matched our every move and we both laughed about it.

I don't like any music that's too loud and I definitely don't care for classic rock....

Wouldn't polka music be great for sex?

Nah, I don't care much for anything that sounds the same played forward or backward.

sometimes it can be distractiing.

I get turned on to the sensual sounds between the two of us. I love to hear the highs and lows that I would miss if something else would draw my attention away.

I have made love when every movement and note was synchronous but that was a gentlemens home and he choose the music. I know music is a personal choice and choosing the wrong tempo could actually turn someone off.

I too have 1-2 "Massage" CDs that are very relaxing.....waves on the beach, etc.

I think that Bed, Bath & Beyond stores have a wide variety of "mood music" CDs....

There was no music!

The first one we only "heard" the cat in the living room knock over a glass clock (CRASH!) and then yesterday Jinnimixx and I made our own music!

My personal favorite is Jazz saxophone, VERY sexy.

He is an Ethiopian sax player. I have a CD called Teddy's Mood. I think you'll like it.

Probably would, but my hero is the late great "Bird" John Coltrane with Sonny Rollins a close 2nd. I guess I'm showing my age, lol

I love to have my i-pod playing softly in the background. I'm a little hard of hearing so it has to be soft enough that I can still hear your whispering to me. I get compliments all of the time about my music. There is certainly something for everyone in there. I have about 70 years worth of love songs in every possible genre.
One thing special that I do is bring my music on an extended date such as 3 or more days and then give my i-pod as a gift to my lover at the end of the visit. This way he can take home the memories and listen to our time together any time. The gent just tells his SO that he found it in the airport or hotel room.

That is very creative and generous Heather....Now how do you explain "Big Blue" being left behind to the SO? LOL.....eom

after the talk stops.  If I get to a point where it IS bothering me...I just head south, ans cover each ear with a thigh!!!!  Then I feel MUCH better!!!  ;-)

I bring along a nice selection of Indian, Asian, and Middle Eastern music. I love the sensual sound of the primitive instruments. Some is just soothing and great for accompanying a massage, while other types can actally be the driver, and dictate all of your movement. I think Turkish music is the best for that. There are also some Asian flute pieces that set a nice pace.

Wearing my John Travolta “Fever” white suit, & this  “8-track” collection songs…

Definite yes on music. Type depends on the mood and setting. Smooth jazz, salsa, rock etc. Playing the songs later definitely helps to re-capture the moments. "Little Red Corvette" what a night!
