They sure as hell ain't getting my DL info and I have absolutely nothing to hide.  There's still sites you can get to.  Sucks all around.

So, other than using a VPN, try using the Opera browser.  It has a free VPN you can use, built-in ad blocker and some other features.  Using a VPN is great if you want/need to secure your entire Internet connection but if you're only interesting in using your browser to access sites, Opera might work for you.  It runs "everywhere", but I can't comment on how well it runs on smart phones.  It's at least checking out, if nothing else.
