Does anyone know of a GREAT hotel on West Palm Beach? Google has too many to choose from. I've never been there and just want to make sure I get my moneys worth.

I would say the Breakers is overpriced.  It is beautiful but the rooms are small.  Might be better off at the Ritz Carlton

Why do some people, not just you, but others on all the boards, feel the need to let us all know you sent someone a PM?

If you send them one, they will see the "You've got Mail" icon come up when they log in?

I just dont get the reasoning behind this, if for no other reason then to see your own name posted on the board.

Not everyone is a VIP member and ladies that aren't full VIP members can still send and receive PMs but they don't get a message telling them they have one.

And since I'm not one of the top 5 posters on the board, I don't post an "eom" message just to see my name on the friggin board.

And speaking of PMs, you could have sent me one expressing your feelings...oh wait, never mind, then I would know WHO you are and you don't want that, now do you?

You must use that cell phone company with the ads about people that are their customers having too much time on their hands so they ponder silly questions with their free time.

In the Breakers and Ritz Carleton class, I prefer the Four Seasons in Palm Beach.  It is a small property with great service and attention to detail.  The Ritz is a very large property and as mentioned before the Breaker's rooms are small.

I highly recommend booking travel with hotwire.com.  I get hotels at 30% off the usual rate.  The only catch is you don't know the name of the hotel until you book it.  But you can select the general area and the star rating.  You know you can't go wrong with a 3 star and up.  
I sometimes get 3 star rooms in the $55.00 to $70.00 range that would be in the $89.00 to $120.00 range if you just call or walk up to the desk.

Well first off, thank you for you answer.  Those of us who are NOT a provider may not know that a lady doesnt get that message that says "you've got mail"

As for the rest of your response, I did NOT single you out, as I clearly stated I have seen it on several of the other boards by others, so why you seem to take this as a personal attack on you is beyond me.

If you want to attack me, I have NO problem revealing myself.  I was asking a simple question, and you just happen to be the poster to my question, its that simple.

Otherwise you will be known as a "girly man" to the 3 person "Alias Police Force".  Once you are singled out as a "girly man", you will then forever be branded as a "chickenshit"....as if anyone else but them cares that you use an alias. You were fortunate....you were let off with a warning this time! Now you post safely, and have a nice day!  

I would recommend the Marriott down on the beach in Delray Beach, great location, walk to a nice downtown with good bars and nice restaurants.  Allows u to get out of your car.  If u want to see a nice part of Palm Beach Island, park your car near Publix, head east to intercoastal, and there is a 5 foot wide bike/hike trial that heads to the north and goes for 3.5 miles.  U will actually walk by madoff's house, but just a great place to walk or jog.  Flager when he built the island put it in.

If you go before Easter the rates will be sky high.  If you wait until mid-April the rates will be cut almost in half.  The Breakers is the class of hotels on the beach.  There is also a nice Hilton hotel but I can't remember the name.
