I am curious about our S Fla group.  There is an alternative board down in S E Fla primarily that is having a Christmas GT/Party tonight and they have over 200 members signed up and will be in attendance if history is any indicator.  When S Fla had the past 3 M&G events we got less than 15% of that ( and the ladies outnumbered the guys at all three). I for one want to thank all those that did attend but I also want to know why others didn't and what can be done to make a M&G or GT event more inviting or enticing

I would like to get some helpful comments so a few of us that would like to keep having these can make them more successful and get a greater number to attend which makes it better for all

I'd like to know this as well. Several gentlemen's same day cancellations put us in a deficit financially for the last party, but if we had more in attendance, those inconveniences wouldn't have such a deleterious effect.

BTW, Sobe, I would have been at yours had it not taken place the night before a huge family holiday. 😉 So I'll look forward to your next one! 😊

Thanks to both Sobe and Sarah. I will briefly add that bigger is not necessarily better. I don't think I'd want to go to a 200 plus person event.

Here in south Florida, we just need to steadily build a core group, and grow it from there.

Let's do another one soon, and Sarah you'd better be there!

point here is that we can do better with our TER events, right? :)

at every one I attended, all those who replied they would be there were no-shows.  Makes me feel bad for the hosts when it looks like they are going to lose money after doing all the work to set it up.  I know emergencies pop up in real life, but when less than 50% of the positive responders fail to show up, that's just poor manners in my eye.

and Swim have said. History showed us that 50% of the guys who committed to coming to the M & G failed to show. Translated, this means food was ordered/prepared for say 60 and only 30 showed. Downside is food is wasted and there wasn't enough $ to pay the bill.

BTW, the ladies were much better at showing up once committed.

The easiest solution is to not provide any food but then the cost of the room rental still has to be paid.

I know when Sarah and I did 2 of the Sun Sensual parties we sent out a poll to get different
ideas of likes/dislikes, etc.  It really was a great help. However, like she said
all the cancellations we got at the last party really hurt financially! Yet we had
a blast and for those that didn't make it missed out of some fun and
gorgeous ladies!

As far as the other parties down there...I have been to a couple in the past and
they are just not for me.  Sadly we have tried to advertise our parties on that
site and were shot down real quick!! Guess you have to be someone special
with $ to get on there.

Sobe...hope to attend one of your parties as well!!

Please post or PM to give me a few ideas of what you would like or where you would like a M&G or GT to be.  A couple of us are thinking of putting one together again the end of January or February and while we are not looking to make money from this we don't want to lose too much either.  We also want to get a good response so what would make you come out and ...

Maybe we could ask for refundable deposits. Is it viable to ask people to pay-pal a $10 or $20 deposit--refunded after showing up for the GT?

I think if we get more members going to the M&Gs in the first place prepayment and such would take care of itself.  What I am most interested in is what wold get more members to come to a social gathering for us specifically.  Geographic suggestions? Physical location suggestions? is cost for entrance an issue?  Or ....

I know I am more likely to go if it does not fall on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.  If there is a sporting event I would assume that it can be used as an excuse to get away with the boys? Weather might play a factor.

I wonder if we held a meet and greet during the next election, would people come? I would think that having that excuse to get away and get in line at the polls would be easy.

Unfortunately there will always be those who cancel at the last minute and that should be figured in when counting heads (so to speak). I say 20-30%. Hey stuff happens in life, that is to be expected.  I will always prioritize if I have a request that evening, my gentlemen callers always take priority.

Many great places in Miami/Downtown/Brickell/Midtown and I am sure that many would appreciate it.
Fill up the mover and do it in Bayside, center bar or in MiMo or by Tobacco Road.

I know there are a handful of people in the WPB or
Boca area.

I'd be interested in knowing who would travel that far South.

There was one not to
Long ago kind of in the middle for Dade and Broward, I think that is the best solution to keep everybody happy.

Sobe, they also threw a huge Christmas party and everybody had to
Pay an entrance fee.

How would deposits go over with the gents and ladies?  Good idea or turn off?

Either way, I'm looking forward to the next social.
