I was hoping for the Jets, but when Baltimore won and eliminated them, I was happy that Miami got in and the Patriots are going to be sitting at home watching the games on TV.

I'd love to see the Panthers and the Dolphins make it all the way to Tampa for the Super Bowl.  Carolina is impressive and the Dolphins are the story of the year.

And I for one think it's great! So much trash has been talked for years about how they would never be a great team again. Just goes to show you can never count any team out forever...

But for now, I'm pulling for the Panthers ;-) I was really worried about them after that 4th quarter disaster about a week ago.

was really a big blow.  Had the Pantghers secured home field throughout Steph, you would have another good reason to visit one of your favorite haunts in Florida for the Super Bowl.

They still might get there.  Remember, they did it on the road back in '03 with the NFC title win in Philly.

With my Bears eliminated today , I am free to watch the playoffs without having to root for anyone.  And with the Pats, Cowboys, Packers, etc., not in, there are really very few teams to root against!

They cut down the Jets today, and I am saddened by that.  I used to be a Jets season ticket holder, and would have liked to have seen them prevail. But I am a Giants fan at heart...Go Blue!
Especially enjoyed watching the Suckboys get crushed today.  They suck!

As for the Dolphins, I think they may be able to get past the Ravens, but against Indianapolis, Tennessee, Pittsburgh, or the Chargers?  They have their work cut out for them.  Weather will likely be a factor if they have to go through Pittsburgh, and Indie and Peyton look formidable, weather notwithstanding...

Regardless, I wish I laid down $10 on the Fish when I in Vegas in October...would pay $7,500 if they do win the Bowl...an the investment would have been negligible...

Thanks for picking up a has been, gunslinger QB and sending us Saint Chad.

Thanks to the Jets fan who insisted on picking a fight with me at the game for being 5'8", 150 lbs and so drunk he couldn't stand up.

And most of all, thank you to the Miami Dolphins for rewarding us die-hard supporters with an unbelievable ride!  It was a great game to be at!

two words...............PEE YOO....Well they DID beat Detroit to get out of the history books!  I think Gruden needs to spend money on 18 more quarterbacks..and poor Cadillac...last year hurt his right knee, this last game hurt his left knee, he better quit, cuz the only knee left to hurt is his WEE KNEE!  :-X

... and I'm old enough to have been a fan back then; but VERY nice & the turnaround from 2007 was awesome - just like my FALCONS! Damn Drew Brees for not pulling off the win against Carolina - we's have been #2 seed in the NFC with a bye week.

Bucs from the playoffs in 2007 to the outcasts of 2008.  Gruden's job may be in jeopardy.  The Cowboys get 2nd place in the "collapse dept.".

Underwhelming...the Jets failed in 2008, be years before they recover.  Reminds me of the early '90's..there's seasons ahead of paper bags over head, 1 - 15 again, even Pete Carroll failed there!  JETS...Just End The Season!  They suck, lol!

As for the G-Men. not!  Go Blue!  Only team that scares me in the NFC is the Eagles...rest will go down...not strong enough to beat us at home, especially in cold weather, where rushing is paramount.   As for beating us in the Bowl, Indianapolis or the Chargers could do it...rest are too weak.

OK...back to topic...ladies from Florida that visit NYC or NJ...love to know when you are visiting.  We will take a time-out from football and other sports gladly when you visit.  A certain lady from down your way is visiting that I've had my eye for over a year...hope I can meet with her soon!

& the NFLs Offensive Rookie of the Year, Matt Ryan. No paper bags here in ATL. Both running with Jerious Norwood & Michael Turner (eat your heart out Bolts) & passing with Ryan & Roddy White & Brian Finnerin & then the Defense with John Abraham, Lawyer Milloy, Kieth Brooking & the U.S.S Babineaux, don't count THEM out.

If not for 1 dropped pass in the end zone against the Saints or if Drew Brees & the Saints hold off the Panthers in the last seconds of Game 16, Falcons are the #2 seed in the NFL AND are they ever fired up.  Like the Dolphins great season, NO ONE expected anything like this from the Falcons except Mike Smith & crew.

Baltimore -3.  I think that the Dolphins might just beat them.  Tough to win on the road, especially, in the playoffs.
Ravens have a rookie QB.  Granted, he's played a lot of games, but there is No substitute for expierence.

Actually, All 4 road teams are favorites.
ATL -2 to 2.5/IND -1 to 1.5/PLH -3.
