I know some do, but I wouldn't one give my credit card info to a provider or 2 create a paper trail, I think better option if you don't have the cash is to take a cash advance on the credit card, I know you will have a transaction fee and pay a slightly higher interest rate- but if you are talking 300-500 dollars shouldn't be that much and a lot safer in my opinion

.....visted with a gentleman in the past.  I do not have access to his cc number, so it is safe.  Also, I created a billing name that sounds professional, and "manly".

 If a gentleman wants to use a credit card for a first date, he can use Amex or Visa gift cards.  Cards must be sealed in their original envelope, and accompanied by the receipt.
