I believe that was the purpose of having a host and hostess.

Nowhere in the original post do I see the purpose of the "cruise director" being to chastise others, make negative comments calling out people they believe are breaking rules, or taking jabs at anyone.
The aforementioned actions, in my opinion, directly oppose the intention of making the board "a welcoming place for all". All.

For there to be conversation....someone has to start it.
Perhaps concentrating on other subjects, that actually pertain to the hobby, would be preferred over threads about snacks, dead celebrities with drug issues, and the worn out...tired...beat all to death and back again...flippin' theme days.

Anyone can, and is welcome to, start an actual discussion.
While we have no "host" yet...for that "point/counterpoint so that there is interesting banter".....we do have a hostess who is supposed to focus on fostering discussion that is fitting for the board.

So what say the board?

Why don't you get over the fact you were taken out as moderator?  Give the lady a chance.  It's clear that there are certain people, yourself included, who just want to take shots at her.  She may not be perfect but you certainly weren't either.

There's nothing to "get over" for me.
Not being a mod is a blessing. I've said it in private and in public.

I merely attempted to express an opinion, using a TER admin post as a reference, that is shared by many.

You, even as an infrequent contributor to this board, are entitled to your opinion as well.
You are also free to start any discussion topic you wish. This is a freedom you have yet to take advantage of...at least in the last 3000 days.
I suppose complaining is always easier than attempting to make a situation better.

Folks, if this is all the board is going to be about, its going to push many people away...myself included.  I'm not a huge fan of them myself, especially if it continues to be every day of the week, but others seem to enjoy them....but where is the conversation that used to take place here?

I'm still a fan of having them only 3 days a week....Mon, Tues, and Thursday seem to be the most popular.....and I thought that was the general reasoning on the board as well.

Lets get some conversation back that does NOT revolve around a Theme Day, that concept is simply gettting out of hand in my small opinion.

I have no desire to even participate here anymore.  Its no secret that i dont care for them, but thats me, so I simply dont look at them....but that fact that its all thats been dominating the boards as of late makes me wonder if I really even want to remain a member on this board.....and I have received MANY PM's from ladies and gents alike who feel the same way..

Daego, no motivation at all other than to see you stop piling on the crap.  Let the lady get her arms around this stuff. You're right in that I have been an infrequent contributor, although I read the posts daily.  Is there some requirement that I must make comments, or is that one of your rules?  I've not even met the lady, but you seem to relish taking shots at her.  Also, don't try kidding anyone by saying you're happy not being a mod.  It's killing you that you were removed. In terms of your comment about "complaining is always easier"......try taking your own advice
