i know, i know...we've been over this before, and recently.  however, i think public service announcements throughout the winter season are absolutely in order.

gentlemen, we know you're looking forward to your time with us...but if you wake up on date-day with the sniffles, scratchy throat, body aches or other early harbingers of a cold or flu...please, please postpone your visit.  remember, many ladies do not have medical insurance, so doctor's visits and medicines must be paid in full, and they're not cheap!  worse, we do not have the luxury of paid time off.  a cold or a flu can put us on the bench for a week - and cause us to lose hundreds, perhaps thousands (especially for the traveling ladies) in needed income.

and ladies, be considerate of your clients!  if the worst happens and you're under the weather, have the decency to cancel.  it's just not right to hide your symptoms and push through a date because you need the fee.  guys, correct me if i am wrong, but i think a gent would rather hear that a lady is not up to par and be disappointed in the short term - rather than have a less-than-stellar date AND come down with a whopper of a cold a few days later.

please, let's all be considerate of each other.

There is a great lady I see and we had a date scheduled several weeks ago.  She called me the morning of our date and told me she was really sick and regrettably had to postpone the date.  While I was really looking forward to our date I was nevertheless extremely impressed that she would call me and give up a hefty donation.  There are many who would tough it out without any regard for the gent.  Her professionalism in this regard is just one of the many attributes that make her a complete high class provider.

Great post J Marie.

several years ago who was under the weather. We had seen each other previously but she came into my hotel room sniffling and all but went through with the session. I would have understood had she cancelled. Just before leaving, she gave me one of the fizzy tablets to put in water to "prevent me from getting what she had".

You guessed it, a week later I was down with a flu-like cold. Correct again--I never repeated with her although she was "talented".

First and foremost a cold is only contagious in the first couple days. Once you start to feel the symptoms such as fever, sore throat, swollen/clogged sinuses, swollen/hard nodes, cough then the virus or bacteria has already established in your body. There are effective ways to combat a bacterial infections such as antibiotics but if it is viral, there is little more than treating the symptoms that one can do. Your natural immune system should defeat the virus in a few days. You can take certain homeopathic remedies to help inhibit the reproduction of the virus such as Zinc or Oil of Oregano but it is nothing more than a waiting game as long as you rest, stay hydrated and eat normally even if you don't feel hungry. Your body is burning lots of energy fighting off an infection and it needs fuel.

Now on to hobbying. After a couple of days it is just fine to hobby because a cold is not contagious. If I were to kiss my AFF who has had a cold for over a week, and I have. Her saliva would be crawling with defensive antibodies that her immune system has created. Her very own natural defenses are actually protecting me from her illness. The influenza virus an other story and it is a good idea to get the immunization shot every flu season. If I was a busy provider I would not hesitate to do so because the Flu is a very unforgiving infection that will make you feel like you got run over by an 18 wheeler and Yes it can be fatal in some cases. The shot costs around $30 and many pharmacies administer them, so a trip to the physician is not necessary.

I totally agree with the opening post that we need to be more consious of each other and not hobby when we are not feeling well. With that said, it may not be as risky as one would first think.

deep kiss me a slobbering, sloppy, tongue so far down my throat it is coming out of my ass, you might as well lick my pussy while you are already there during cold and flu season believe me I know. Precautions are always taken by me and I am constantly around wee little ones who are walking germ factories as well as my own family members, one ex who was sick for well over a week with that nasty puke and shit at the same time stomach virus, renovating my home I had a nasty lung infection that who knows could have been the other one going around. This is why some need to understand that as professionals we are responsible for our health and those we come in contact with get it? Because you don't want it great post I for one am glad this came up :)

I completely agree with you on this..having to drive to two no shows in one day is certainly not nice.

I hate when people share their germs with me.  Some one shared strep with me a week and a half ago, and it put me out for several days (no longer contagious after 2 days on antibiiotics, but still felt super poopy so couldn't work) not to mention the MD visit and meds. Untreated strep can cause organ failure on the what's-the-worst-that-can-happen-list.

I figure that my germs are MY germs and I can be selfish about them and not play with others and keep them all to myself. As far as my germs go: they're MINE, MINE, MINE!!!!!!

I just wish more people thought about them like that
