Had an interesting cancellation last week. Had a long standing trip to Chicago and meet with my ATF there. Trip was canceled. ATF trashed me for bailing, with a weeks notice! LOL. I wished her well and put it aside. Trip came back to life and I needed to find a new date. Found the best lady I've ever been with anytime, anywhere. Funny how things can happen for a reason.

goes like this. Saw and ad earlier in the week about a well-reviewed Florida lady traveling up near where I live. Big head says it is a chance to play without driving 2 hours to either Tampa or Orlando; little head agrees.

I send an email to the lady and schedule a 1pm appointment for today. She responds about references and I send a reference request to some ladies I have seen recently. I get an email back from the provider on Thursday saying I'm cleared and to wait for name of the hotel. This morning, about 3 hrs. before our appointment, I get an email saying she had some "transportation issues and promised to let me know when she was coming my way again.

Note to self: Do NOT schedule with touring ladies because the "flake chance is high"; exception being ladies I have seen before that have proven to be relieable to me.

Am I wrong?

I have never been cancelled on but a couple of months ago I found myself sitting in a hotel lobby for about an hour after a 30 minute drive trying to get the lady on the phone and when she finally answered she was mad at me for being a no-show the day before which was Wednesday - this even though every email we exchanged had Thursday in the subject line.

A couple of weeks ago I had to cancel on a provider because I forgot that I needed to take money out of the ATM over a two day period because of withdrawal limits. She was pissed and I don't really blame her that much but shit does happen. I even offered to send her some money to show her how sorry I was but it looks like she just just wrote me off for good even though I really wanted to see her.

Unfortunately KK, this does happen and it is not always touring ladies. My most recent experience came about 6 weeks ago. I was visiting an area outside of Florida and I had scheduled a date with a TER Top 10 in that area. We had scheduled more than a week in advance, and 20 minutes before our scheduled date, her assistant called me to say that she had no idea where the lady was, that she had been trying to get her all day, and she was really getting worried. She was really apologetic, and if I had not been as familiar with the assistant as I was, I would have totally blown her off. However, I believed what she was saying, and she did schedule someone else to come see me. As for the original scheduled date? I have no idea what happened to her, but she has had reviews posted for her since then. One thing I do know is that I will never try to schedule with her again.
Live and learn I guess.

Here's what you'll find:

"transportation issues"
I didn't have enough booked appointments to make it worth my while to drive there.

"promised to let me know when she was coming my way again"
Since I didn't get enough appointments to go there...the area must suck...so hold your breath and keep thinking I'll ever consider coming there. WalMart sells lotion and Kleenex.

Just sayin'
DD

You post all that crap over a a "travel" problem.
Listen sweetie......Traveling is full of variables that are out of ones conrol!
Oh shit , I forgot , its all about you !
Get over it , wipe your ego tears and move on !!
Yeah , I care about YOUR little "trave inconvenience"!

Thanks for sharing I learned so much from you experience !
Am I wrong ? - No just an egotistical jerk who does not consider feelings or circumstances!

this morning?  I know KK, who is a long and well respected member of this hobby community, and he is not an 'egotistical jerk.'  Your rather snotty attack on him is quite uncalled for, in my view. Since you are fairly new here, I'd suggest you think before you flame someone, but that's your call. KK was just sharing an unfortunate experience. which I appreciate. IMHO, your rude response was about as big an overreaction as when Joe Pesci shot Spider.

I don't know what the hell crawled up your ass & died, but you really need to back off. Let me try to learn you something here. I will type real slow so you can understand what I am saying. This is a forum to discuss this hobby in Florida. When a point is made, especially by a well-known & respected hobbyist- or provider- you can listen & discuss. At no time did KK say it was "all about him"- he was merely relating something that happens to EVERYONE at one time or another.
Back the hell off & try to get that thing out of your ass that died. Oh yeah one more thing- try to have a nice day (or maybe not)

I've only a couple of cancellations from them.  And as a different view from what DD expressed re: 'transportation issues', I had a cancellation (from a well-known SoFla lady) a year or so ago because she had to cancel her trip due to a hurricane down there which cancelled all flights for a good while.  So 'transportation issues' do sometimes really happen.  I'd of course prefer more than 3 hours notice, but if you were one of her first appts. that could happen, especially if she had a flight cancellation and spent some time trying to rebook.  Just saying...
