I bought my girl a purse once and I got some great sex outta that investment . She did see it and commented about it so as far as which one to get was easy. I would tend to think that there are good and bad purses so w/o any input it could be a shot in the dark . I still have no idea why women LOVE their purses, but they have one to go with every outfit and they do LOVE 'em.
The other universal thing with chicks is shoes . This is one were you benefit as well - If you like fuck me heels, and what guy does'nt ?
Find a shoe place that is stocked to the ceiling with choices for her ( and you ) 
Make sure you are driving, so go pick her up . Take her to dinner and simply say dinner is your birthday present . Thats it , just dinner. Dinner is score #1.
A birthday card delivered by the waiter with a gift card inside for a purse or something - score #2. Having the waiter deliver it and surprise her will make her melt - trust me women love that crap .
After dinner drive her to the shoe place . The surprise and forethought is score #3.
Tell her the shoes have to pass your inspection, so go grab some and then model them for me - score #4.
Purchasing a few pairs of sexy shoes for her - score #5.
"I'm uncertain the lighting in the store is adequate, so lets go to my place for further inspection ". Score #6.
You can take it to the next level by having the bed covered in rose pedals - Visit a flower shop and many will give you the pedals they have , Just do it before you go and pick her up . Light the candles , pour her a glass of wine and then head to the rose pedal bedroom for the shoe "inspection ".
Shoes are really just the vehicle to get her moist and horizonally naked !
I always like the birthday sex to be ALL about her !!! Whatever SHE wants , HOW she wants it - trust me you will get yours . I happen to like "giving", so I have no problem licking for an evening .

A little about her: She is a Yoga fanatic and married (I certainly don't want her joker husband peeling off that La Perla Blow Up Bra and thong, or inserting that Intensity Rabbit Vibrator into her before I get that priveledge, so that rules out lingerie or Toys). She has a day job with a defense contractor, One son (Not mine,Thank GOD!) and is just your average looking, run of the mills, 30 year old all-american girl.
