Toni, Here's what I recently posted on the Atlanta board that I think pertains to the question down below. I'd love to hear other's thinking.

With the talk recently about TER now not allowing non-Vip'ers to see the performance rating on reviews got me to thinking.
Just wondering what gets other hobbyists interested enough  to see a new provider.

I think for me the magic number is 15 total (adding looks and performance). An 8 in looks and 7 is performance or vice versa  is enough to get my attention if their rates are 200 - 300 per hour. Not sure a 9 and a 6 or 10 and 5 is good enough. I think there should be at least a 7 in each category with a total of at least 15. Just my thoughts, love to other's thinking.





 

Keeping in mind that most discerning gentlemen are members and use that membership totally to their advantage, as it is a wise thing to do, my question was to determine whether since TER now publically blocks the performance number, would that be enough to make a non-member join? Also, would it eliminate anyone who focuses primarily on looks?  Does it put more importance on looks or performance or neither?

I am thinking they must be planning an affiliate program that we ladies can put a link on our site which would serve as more of an enticement to get the gentleman to join VIP is they are on our site and they really want to get together, they might join just to get the info?

What do you guys think about that deduction?

I would think it differs from person to person.
Some want both performance and appearance depending on the ladies rate and some just want performance.

I'm inclined to prefer a higher rating in performance than appearance; meaning a 7-8 is better than an 8-7.  As has been said many times, you need to read the reviews because the numbers can vary from reviewer to reviewer.

... I am just curious what the effect will be of TER no longer publicly displaying the performance/looks numbers and requiring VIP membership for that.  Will there be any effect at all?
