there seems to be a glut of providers in the Tampa area asking for $500 and more for an hour of their time.  Sorry gals, but this is not that kind of market.  Good luck if you can get it, but you won't see it from me.  Guys, what you think of this?  What are these gals thinking of?

Girls, you can ask what ever you want, but if you are asking more than the market will merit, how do you plan to survive?  IMHO, most guys around Tampa are not gonna pay high dollar for providers that do not have an established rep in the area.  I know I'm not, regardless of how hot you are.

Swim, I am afraid I have to disagree with you, there are a number of providers that we both have seen and hold in high regard. The ladies that you refer to either will or will not survive, the market will decide. If they can not get the high asking price then they will either go to another market or lower their rates to the regional competitive price. Capitalism, my man, like it or not. On the other hand, in Tampa, have you seen the ad for Megan? Jesus Christ man, what a bargain. She probably could get $500 and deserve it! Side bar, why does anybody need to use an alias? pussy is for providers, you got xy chromosomes you need to speak up! just sayin' EOM Megan is just an example of the opposite, I have not met her but there are many alternatives to being hostage to outrageous fees. If they are worth it or at least can get it, more power to them!

If a lady believes she is worth a certain amount, by all means, set the price where she likes it.  If, as a client, I don't believe she is worth the amount, well, off to the next lady.  So let's not try to dictate to the ladies what range of prices.  It's strictly up to them and what they can get and be comfortable with.

I was not attempting to tell gals what to charge, sorry if it came across that way.  I was just making an observation.  And yes, I'm sorta on a beer budget.  3% COLA's on pension and SS don't amount to much.

Sure I'd love to have endless funds too so that rates are not an issue, who wouldn't, but alas the real world reminds me daily I am not that blessed. No one is picking on you Swim but as Ron said it's their prerogative to do as they wish. Case closed.. More power to em.. I have noticed that some of the higher end ladies have many reviews from out of town visitors to the area... We all do what we see fit.. David..

do take into consideration the economy and know EVERYONE is struggling so I think my rate is very fair and my level of service is excellent.

New Orleans market is even cheaper than Tampa, and I've been at least 600 for the last 3 years...just went up to a grand for the move. I see less than 5 guys a month, but that's all I need. I also take care of my TER boys with off the clock dinners, so it always works out. I find high hourly rates are counter productive to be quite honest.  

Like you said, men see that for an hour and are like "wtf," but take that same 5 or 600 and make it a 2 hour min. you've entered into not only another market, but another type of client who only books multi hour dates. The same guy who would NEVER pay 500 for one hour, will most always not flinch at paying that for 2 hours. The girl still makes the same amount of money, all things considered and she only has to see one guy to do it.  

Personally, hourly clients were always my worst to deal with. No absolutes of course, but reviews show that hourly guys who book the cheapest possible options, are also the most demanding, and grade the hardest.

I agree with you on the issue of multiple hours.  I have no problem paying 600 for two hours while 500 for an hour is a bit much on my budget.  I live in Panama City and if I had the 4 hours and a thousand you would definitely be on my list.
