I think that point has already been made.  It's a free country and they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery or I suppose this could be a riding the coattails move. While it would be nice if TER could restrict similar or copycat  "new" names, especially for well established people, it is unlikely to happen.  If you are a true connoisseur and take the time and do your homework, you will know that the "original" from the "newbie".  In this case, the "original" is the best in my opinion, I don't need to see the "newbie", .  Just my .02.

No offense but Stanley IS not a girl's name. I'm not sure I, as a confirmed Bisexual would feel comfortable calling a chick Stanley.

I also agree with the other poster, you seem extremely new and there is a very well known provider named SexyToni.

Changing the name doesn't change the fact that you have in fact taken her "moniker" and that IS largely frowned upon. How about SansuousTony or something like that. There are a lot of other words to use other than "Sexy".

I know we ladies don't "own" our names, as there are several Monroe's out there but there's only ONE Rae Monroe.

This is just my opinion but I do hope you take it to heart as a friendly bit of information and not anything towards you directly.

I completely agree with HLGFE. It would be in your best interest to change your handle so the guys can distinguish you from the other Tony. Furthermore if you received reviews they would most likely end up on her profile instead of yours. It wouldn't help you in the long run. I've seen it happen before on other boards. Just my opinion....

She is temporarily in Vegas and she's still a big part of the FL board. Perhaps the TER handle should be Tony's Pleasures which is IN FACT the agency's name. not Sexy Tony. It seems as if they are using Sexy Toni's reputation to get attention and business. I agree w Rae Monroe, out of respenct this handle should be hcanged. Its as if some girl came to the FL board and called herself Amber Ashlee? I mean c'mon! I know things are slow for some but must one really copy a name to get $? I think we should all show our wonderful Sexy Toni some support on this one. I know if it were somebody elses name that they were using, TOni would back them up just because it was the RIGHT thing to do.
If this agency is honest, good and delivers as promised they will have their OWN good reputation and no time. They just need to work for it like the rest of us did (specially Sexy Toni. Im amazed that TER allows this

Seriously I think that if she is a legitimate agency or referral system she should change her name.

An established provider such as Sexy Toni is in business for herself, and her provider identity is her brand.  What this new lady is doing is sort of like trademark infringement, and my friend whose identity is being infringed upon would be well within her rights to be understandably upset.  IMO, the new lady should change her identity ASAP for the good of everyone involved.  As Amber Ashley said, perhaps she should use her agency name, not an identity that belongs to someone else.

It is sad that people have misunderstood my ter handle. As i have stated before, I did not know there was a Sexy Toni posting on ter, this is just my handle, and the company name is

I may consider changing my ter handle, but in no way did I ever intend to ride on the coat tail of someone else, that is ridiculous.

Could it be possible that when she created her handle, she wasn't aware of Sexytoni??? These 2 providers aren't even in the same area and they certainly look nothing like one another. I can't imagine that anyone will be mixing the two of these providers up.

Regardless, this is her weekly ad and you should all be ashamed of yourselves for imposing on it! How would you like it if everyone posted something negative on your weekly ads?

She stated that when she selected her name, she was totally unaware of you and it's entirely possible that she's telling the truth. She also has stated that she's not changing her name. Nobody can make her, that is HER choice. It appears that through all of the rivalry, she remains to stand firm on her decision. Why continue to attack her like a bunch of pitbulls? She is either going to sink or swim and whatever the outcome, you will not be a contributing or determining factor.

As I stated before, this is HER ad and it should not be riddled with all of this negativity. She can only post one ad per week on here, just like you and every other provider. I'm certain that you and all the other providers that have displayed their opinions, wouldn't enjoy your one weekly advertisement be sabatoged as has been done to her!

I let her know in no uncertain terms that there was ALREADY a well known provider with that name, and strongly suggested she NOT use it. Her use of the name is a blatant ripoff, and she's trading on the original's goodwill that was built up over a # of years.

I wouldn't mess with Fuzzy....lol!

I find it really amazing that here on TER that YOU People think that WE can be fooled by a name that closely resembles another.

I can understand how you feel as the original but in the end it should not make any financial difference.

I have been Alisha Adams on this site for 3-4 years ... she on the other hand is fairly new.
But my point is she AINT me! AND NEVER WILL BE.
I cant assume she tried to "steal" my good reputation ... thats nutz.
We are ALL unique ... And if a provider is soooo well liked and adored by sooo many .. then it shouldnt matter too much anyway.
A name as common as the one discussed here may find this problem again in the future.
Maybe it would be best for ladies who prefer complete exclusivity to choose a name thats NOT SO COMMON.

I completely agree. Tony is a very common name, there is one in my area who also has this name.

The word sexy is just something I threw in there to describe myself, or my opinion of myself.

I do not believe that anyone will ever get the 2 of us confused, and it was brought to my attention about a month ago by someone who posts on this board, however, I have been using this name for a few years, I have just been utr.

Anyways, maybe sometime in the future there will be possible another Toni or Tony we can debate with.

I do not believe I am wrong in any form, she never had exclusive rights to that name, nor the adjective in front of it.

I never knew of her, and I have been using the name for a few years, (utr) and this is the first I have heard of her, other than in December of 08.

Well, no matter how anyone feels, it is my decision whether to change my name or keep it the same.

I will not be bullied into making any decision. Thanks for your concern though.

That is definitely not my style. I did not know she existed until about a month ago. I prefer to be very low key, passionate, and lots of fun.

Also, ter must believe the same way that I do, there is no exclusive rights to a name.

I believe myself to be honest, reliable, and truely caring of other peoples feelings. However, now I a feel like I am being bullied,  which I am sure very few people respond to.

It is sorrowful that ad post was ruined by this drama.  However, most of who responded here are friends with Sexy Toni, whom is not pleased with her identity being co-opted.  As you surely understand, as a provider in business for yourself, your identity is your your brand...your corporate name, if you will.  Your choosing a name so close to a long established, and well loved, lady is bad enough.  To post on her home board repeatedly was certain to draw ire, since it tantamount to kicking sand in her face, and infringing on her trademark.  

You are running an agency; don't you think it would be better to advertise under your agency name...Tony's Playmates...which is unique, and establish your own brand?  I realize you may not have been aware that another lady out there had already take the name Sexy Toni, but that's reality, and now you know.  The best thing you can do now is apologize for causing this, even if inadvertently, and move on to establish a new identity for yourself and your agency.  You should do this promptly, so that you can get past this, and build your business properly.

Sexy Toni, my friend for the last five years, is having her identity infringed by an upstart.  Unfortunately, I see both sides dug in.  Someone has to blink here...and it shouldn't be Sexy Toni.

this has given great insight to the honesty and caring Tony has displayed.  She refuses to stop using another provider's name even when she invades her territory.  This speaks volumes, IMO.

She claims to be GFE, it would be easy for her to change her name to "GFE TONY" (if that name is not in use) and would likely add to her business.

I don't expect her to take this advice.  Not all good business people take business advice.  In any other business this could be settled in court.  

Burger giant Burger King took a long established small business to court for the rights to the name in Illinois.  The small guy not only got to keep his name but received royalties from the giant Burger King so they could call their places by that name in the state.

after reading all of this......and if you read carefully....the proof is in the pudding.

1) Look at all of the interest this has drawn.

2) TER readers are smarter than they look and can tell the difference.

3) Sexy Toni "the Original" is very much beloved and will be for years to come or for as many years as she chooses.

4) I do NOT believe SexyTony when she said she didn't know.  Would you just throw up an ad on a website without taking a look around?, I seriously doubt it.  Plus when you add in the information from Fuzzy that seals it.  This definitely is coattails.

5) Should TER do something about it...they should, but it won't happen for various reasons.  Too costly, no more "spoof" aliases like Fuzzy's parody last week on this board or the FollowMe family, because if the right software changes were made, it might kick back the name.  

6) Anyways the name SEXYTONY is in all caps as well....all caps means yelling or screaming for attention.  Not too attractive or appealing to me.

change the handle? its not even your agency's name? and if you were in fact using "Sexy Tony" for YEARS, you said yourself it was UTR (never met a UTR that needed a stage name or posting handle, specially when that's not even the name you use in your website), then nobody will be confused by the change cause you were UTR (Supposedly)
At this point it is evident that all you are getting is negative attention fron everyone here. Attention nonetheless so you must be happy about that (that is prob. why you ar edoing it to begin with)
I hope you see where we come from w all this, imsorry its turned into a big drama. I for one think us girls need to back each other up and show some level of respect, there are some unwritten rules. Yes there are MANY Toni/Tony's in the world and had it been your name on your site or your INDY stage name, that's one thing. But it isnt/wasnt, its a name that you recently started using in order to post on TER. If I were you (in good faith) I would just change my handle to Tony's Pleasures, it suits your agency better and it gives you the right advertising, you will be doing name recognition, why would you want someone elses name on everybody's mind? Use your own name and its only a matter of time before everyone on the board recognizes Tony's Pleasures =)

I for one would have NEVER read your thread had I known it was for "Tony's Playmates" or Pleasures. I, in fact, thought YOUR post was by Sexy Toni.

Hence, people ARE confusing your name with hers wich DOES garner you additional attention. Instead of ammending the mistake when Fuzzy let you know about it, which, he IS a TER moderator so therefore DOES know a thing or two about the thoughts and reactions of TER members you SHOULD have taken his advice and built your own brand based on YOUR agency name.

Just like I suggested above, why not use another adjective other than "sexy" if you were specifically told that the identical version of that name was taken already, albeit with a different spelling.

Instead of taking the advice of a Moderator on TER since she JUST began posting on here she is instead getting her back up because no one is sticking up for her.

I do not think she's going to change her stance and I for one do not think she has the same mentality, at all, that most of the ladies of TER have which is to play nice and try to find a resolution.

Instead of taking the cummulitave advice of the people of TER who have literally TONS of years of experience between then she is showing her LACK of respect for the members of this board and other providers and the hobbyists in Florida in general.

I would love to assume that since I choose Alisha Adams 4 years ago that I have unmentioned exclusivity to it if any newbies arrive and unintentionally choose it they will be "forced" to change it.
I dont know either Toni/Tony but I think the two of them could talk and resolve it PRIVATELY.

I do agree a name change for the newest Tony would probably be the best solution but at this juncture this new Tony has been soooooo chastised and insulted: why would she want to conform?

The clients dont give a rats-ass what we call ourselves..
This is "women's stuff" and it should be handled exclusively on the provider board or at minimum by "providers only".

Sorry, but this is a drama fitting the WWE or TNA wrestling.  While I have great respect for Sexy Toni and her fab reviews and contributions to this board.  I respectfully disagree.

I could see her concern if this was an audio media where the differences between Sexy Toni and Sexy Tony could not be heard.  However since this is a print media there is a visable difference between the two stage names and even more differences if you bother to click on their links.  Like it or not TER saw that difference when they granted Sexy Tony her handle.  I can see their reasoning as where do you draw the line should there only be one Toni or Tony located within a regional board area.  Sorry no matter how well respected you are on the board or how many friends have your back they just can't do that and you are being unreasonable to think you should be the exception to the rule.

However to my fellow hobbyists this thread shows why we should all follow our own advice and do our research before proceeding to make sure we have the Toni or Tony that appears on our list of ladies that are not to be missed before contacting her.

Honestly, I rarely use agencies, but even so, given the controversy, I'd say, thanks but no thanks.

I agree with AA.  There is ONLY 1 Sexy Toni and to use a name "similar" is a sign of disrespect.
