So its been a few years since my last foray into the hobby...numerous reasons for this...but I was wondering how to get back in the game?  I've pretty much been lurking around enjoying the entertainment from afar and feel the "need" to hop into the deep end and see if I remember how to swim.  My problem is....please don't flame me for this...is screening.  I don't have datecheck(or other screening services), am hesitant to give employer info, and don't have any recent references.  I have been to a couple of M&Gs years ago and met a few of you all guys and gals alike and enjoyed my time.  If you remember a somewhat shy,funny,young looking guy in his 30s...that was probably me.  Anyway...what advice can you give a guy like me?  I look forward to read your responses and welcome any comments...good or bad.  Also be aware that I don't get PMs (non VIP for now).

1. Pick up the keyboard.
2. Choose a number of ladies in your area with the looks you prefer.
3. Compose an email indicating your bona fides, and other particulars that they ask for.
4. Send it to them.
5. Wait for a response.
6. If you get a response,  make an appointment.
6a. If you don;t, choose another group of ladies.

Repeat as necessary.

I can't give employer info, because even though I'm not close to retirement age, I'm retired! I was a vice president for a major financial firm but now I'm just enjoying spending time with my family. Plus I haven't seen a provider in years, so I have no current references. Additionally, I like to keep my interactions with specific providers confidential, so that compounds things a bit.

I am sure you can find them BP I am sure has many. But a quality girl with a solid reputation will require references for her safety and yours. Sometimes a simple dental appointment confirmation to you office works. But that doesn't give any credibility to how you act or treat a woman during a session. It's a very touchy subject and I am looking forward to the responses you receive.

I mean, if you don't want to sign up on DC or P411 or something, and you won't give out any personal information...well...you're pretty much stuck with BP or something. And that's even a bigger risk than joining one of the verification sites.  Just the way it works in the hobby.

absolutely agree!  I just wish more providers would actually RESPOND to reference requests...:sigh:...but that's a different subject...

The first thing I'd do is get VIP. If it's a financial reason or a privacy issue for not joining, then you might want to re-think the whole idea of getting back in the game. Think about it, how is a "quality" lady going to take you seriously if you are not willing to at least give some minimal info and invest a couple of bucks? With VIP you will find many professional ladies that are very discreet. All it takes is visiting with 1 or 2 well respected ladies in the community and you'll be off and running.
The other option is is BP, or girls that are willing to see you with no info. Do you really want to risk walking into a room with a girl that doesn't screen and/or has no reviews? Think about that for a moment. Bait and switch, upselling could be the least of your problems. Although you are not giving out your personal info, you are taking a huge risk!
If it's been that long that you don't remember how to get started, you may want to hit the newbie board for a refresher course.
I hope you go for the VIP and have a blast getting your groove back.

Even though it has been a while, to anyone who's been around here for any length of time, you are an established and respected member of the community. As a contributing member of the board, I always liked your posts, back when this was a much more active board. As a moderator of this board, I appreciated your input, humor, and predictable steadfastness in avoiding drama.
It was a pleasure to meet you at one of the Meet & Greets I took part in hosting, and would vouch for you any time.

As far as references, my suggestion would be to contact some of the ladies you've seen, even though not reviewed. If they are a member of Date Check, they can 'verify' you and you're "in". Then you can peruse the listings, reach out to others you have seen, and simply click that you've "seen" them. They are sent an automated form where they can either deny or verify, and very basically 'rate' you.
Perhaps one or more of the ladies you have seen will even reach out and offer to help you in this way.

I guess I'm locked out, stuck on the outside looking in at this point. I'm retired so there's no office phone to call, and P411 won't answer my e-mails inquiring about whether they will be able to verify me or not.

I too remember you from past meet and greets and hope you can get back in the swing of things.

Sounds like your problem is solved, you got two great ladies lined up already. But if not, I highly recommend signing up with P-411. They are not associated with any provider, so any information that you give them stays there and they are in Canada. I got a membership very easily with no hassles. But, as you probably know from your first foray into the hobby, the first one or two are the toughest. Just don't be cheap, and go with the ladies that have been around a while, you'll have more fun then anyway. I'd love to hook up with either of the ladies you have lined up and waiting myself.

Some gents have told me that when communicating with P411 through email/forms is not working out for whatever reason, a simple phone call to them will get you on your way to getting verified. Hope this helps!
