I'm happy :)  .

Specifically, what's preferred: big bills or small ones?

Big bills are nice because they make a physically small stack, and are quick and easy to count accurately. But they're probably also more conspicuous when you go to use them later, and are easier to lose.

Small bills (20s) make a physically large stack in large amounts, and can take forever to count (and re-count) with accuracy.

Tiny bills (1s) are nice for spreading out and rolling around in. Hmmm, maybe it's not so non-sexy a topic after all! ;)

i LIKE the way you think!!

I had to move a large account between banks one time and they were right down the street from each other. The bank where I was closing the account wanted to charge me for a cashier's check, so I asked for it in cash instead. I felt like a gangster. Entertained the idea of going home and throwing it all over the bed, but instead just walked it the 2 blocks to the other bank.

I was terrified the whole time!

Next time that happens, I'll call you first! ;D

Nah.  Bills have been through too many unsanitized hands...  Imagine the germs!  Now THAT'S an unsafe sexual practice!

just kidding!  ;-]

...piles and piles of MONOPOLY MONEY for rolling around in?

now, to actually answer the original question:  i've always said its the experience that counts.  it's all about a compelling connection between two (or more! :giggle:) people.  the bills - whether large or small, it doesn't matter - are the icing on the cake!

Since ATM's only seem to count out 20's, 20's it is.  Dislike standing in lines at banks.

All my banks are completely empty these days. The tellers are just standing there waiting for something to do. I usually go max out my ATM limit for the day, then walk up to the counter and ask for bigger bills. They're happy to do it. (I use an awesome Internet bank that reimburses any ATM fee I'm ever charged, so I head to any bank that's convenient. The teller never even asks if I have an account there, though I typically do.)

I was primarily asking the ladies, and we've seen one vote for big bills, so that's what I'll keep doing. Thanks for the discussion, all!

so I always wanted 20's and nothing larger. Now there are more fake 20's and 10's being passed. It takes less time to check larger bills and most bills have strips embedded into them to make it easier. I have never been given funny money from any date yet have been given it as change numerous times at stores and restaurants. Saying so much hasn't changed my choice much. It is easier to spend a 20 without raising eyebrows than handing someone a 100 dollar bill.

I have my own method.  Smaller bills I tend to spend on essentials and larger bills I deposit to pay bills.

Personally, I collect "old" money...the old hundreds, twenties, fives, etc.  Those are my personal favorite if you can still find some. They get put away and never see the light of day.

I once stopped to count and had over $300 in loose change around my house.

...thank God I realized it before trying to deposit them at the bank.

Now, I always carry a pen to check and try to stay current with information regarding counterfeiting.

I am thankful I have never gotten a counterfeit bill before.  I like you carry the pens though...one in my purse, one at my incall and one in my play bag (for outcalls).

Awesome post and thank you for sharing this.

I really do prefer larger bills. So much easier to count when you are in a situation where you need to be quick. It's not a nice feeling when the gent excuses himself to the restroom and you are trying to hurry and count it before he comes back.  That always makes me feel uncomfortable.

Great and different post...love it...Thanks Patrick.

Basically I just carry a roll of $100's with me, mostly.
