In Europe I have found agencies the biggest time savers. However, some agencies are better than others. If you use an agency please send me your input on how they were.
Thanks OingeBoinge. I had trouble finding an agency in Paris that looked legitimate, so I went with an indie provider with a good experience. I'll let you know if I find a good agency later.
It is a bit hard to judge an agency's web site in Europe for legitimacy by using U.S. standards. That is why I had hope we could start tracking the good and bad agencies here. I think a big difference is largely because it is more of less legal in much of Europe. So agency's don't have as much to fear. Though the laws still differ depending on where you are. If I understand correctly, in Belgium the ladies and guys are fine under the law, but the bookers are taking the risk. In Iceland, the ladies can't get in trouble but the guys can. Fortunately enforcing that law if very low on the priority list. Somewhat recently in France the law was changed.....it is legal, but paying for it is not. So in other words, it is the guy that can get in trouble. I think a similar law is in effect in Sweden. People in Sweden in favor of that law try to claim a victory by saying their dumb law cut such activity in half. Others say, probably more accurately, that it simply moved it out of site of authorities which simply makes it less safe for everyone.
