I would be happy to give you tips or advice when you get here - many of the better working girls are on the move a lot.
General info:
I stay away from the streetwalkers. 10-15 years ago these were almost exclusively Norwegian, a high percentage of them junkies. Nowadays there are loads of eastern Europeans (Bulgarian/Romanian and the like) and Nigerians. Pimps are not unusual. Getting busted by LE are more common as busting is way easier in known locations.
That leaves the independents and semi-independents I have seen a lot of operating from hotels or apartments. Still many eastern Europeans, also a few Norwegians plus a smattering of others - asians, africans. Africans are usually Nigerians, which I see VERY few good reviews of.
No websites like TER, most of them are not very reliable, keeps ad posted long after the girls have moved on. There is one website in use, which is more of a mirror image of TER: Realescort(dot)eu. Membership is free. The girls pay for ads (expensive!) Punters can write reviews, but there is two major drawbacks: Girls can elect to disable reviews (Rule of thumb #1: NEVER see girls who don't want reviews). The other is that when the ads expire or is left dormant by the advertiser the reviews are unreachable. No communications/PM's are possible except between punters and working girls.
Legal matters: Prostitution is not illegal - but paying prostitutes for sex is. If you get busted you pay a fine. How much differs from county to county, Oslo is one of the worse locations to get busted - 25k NOK (about 4100$). Hasn't happened to me so far. Tere are no direct consequences for the girl, but plenty of indirect ones. The worst will be that she will get evicted from wherever she is. Pimping is illegal, and extends to making money from prostitutes in any way whatsoever. This extends to the landlords she is renting the apartment from. Girls I have met has been given the choice between either GTFO or stay without working incalls, if the landlord is a nice person - apparently more common to just be evicted without getting any refunds for rent already paid. This in turn makes the girls more vulnerable to abuse, as they don't want police interference for fear of being evicted.
There may be a repeal of the law making it illegal to pay for sex; I wouldn't hold my breath though.
The only towns with a sizeable market are Oslo, Bergen and Stavanger. You can of course find working girls elsewhere, but they are few and don't stay long.
