The two statues of Zeus, the epitome of masculinity, and Aphrodite, the Godess of love, stood facing each other in the park where all could see.  Over the decades, countless couples sat on the benches looking at the statues and then went home to do what the statues could not.  There they stood, year after year, through the rain, the sleet, the snow but the worst were the pidgeons, OH, the shame of the pidgeons and all that bird poo.  And they could only stare longingly at each other, unable to do what they most wished they could.

One day an angel descended, touched each statue and they came to life.

"Because you have given so much pleasure to so many people, God has given you each one hour of life.  You can do what ever you wish but then you must return as statues."

They looked at each other knowingly, smiled and went off to the bushes hand in hand.  Soon, the bushes began to shake, the ground trembled and the most amazing noises could be heard in the shrubbery.  Soon, things quieted down and Zeus and Aphrodite came out holding hands with very satisfied looks on their faces.

"You know, we have a little more time left.  Would you llike to do it again?" said Aphrodite.

"Sure, let's do it again." said Zeus "But this time you hold the pidgeon down and I'll shit on it's head."
