Bunch of porpoises were screwing all the time at the Colorado State Zoo, and it was embarrassing to the Zoo administration, which consulted a porpoise specialist who recommended feeding them sea gull chicks.  The zookeeper assigned to feed the porpoises filled a bucket with the gull chicks and took a short cut across the lion enclosure.

He was arrested.  For what?

Transporting young gulls across state lions for immoral porpoises.

Bada bing!

A Spoonerism is where the first sounds of two words are interchanged to produce an unexpectedly humorous or ironic effect.

Spooner was himself a real person, a teacher in England who, probably due to metathesis, would often unintentionally perform these.

Probably the humorous is when he referred to his students as "shining wits" (or was it vice versa?).
