A woman was driving by herself along an empty country road.  It was a hot day, and the air conditioning in her car wasn't working.  Suddenly, she saw a lake, and decided to for a swim to cool off.  She didn't have her swimsuit, but thought she'd just go skinny dipping, since there wasn't a soul in sight.  As soon as she undressed, and was about to go in the water, she saw red and blue lights flashing.  An officer walked up to her, and said: "Ma'am, I saw you entering the lake; you can't swim here," and pointed toward a "no swimming" just off to the side.
"If swimming isn't allowed, why didn't you tell me before I undressed?", she said with frustration.
"But the sign doesn't say you can't undress."
