So there was a trial going on in which one of the defense witnesses was a sexy young blonde. After her testimony,  the prosecuting attorney began his cross examination by saying “So tell me Miss Jones, what were you doing on the evening of February 12th of this year?” Immediately, the defense lawyer jumped up and said “Objection, your Honor, the actions of Miss Jones on that evening have no bearing in this case. “Sustained” the Judge replied. At this point the blonde interjected by saying “I don’t mind answering that question, your Honor.” Again, the defense lawyer repeated “Objection, your Honor!” The Judge then turned to the witness and said “Miss Jones, you do understand, don’t you, that you don’t have to answer that question?” The blonde then repeated “ Your Honor, I really have no problem answering that question.”
The Judge then turned to the defense attorney and said “If your witness insists on answering the question, I will allow her to do so. As such, your objection is overruled.” He then turned to the prosecuting attorney and said “Counselor, will you please repeat your question to the witness.”
With a slight, smug smile the prosecuting lawyer then said “So, Miss Jones, I will ask you again What were you doing the evening of February 12th of this year?’ “
