Greek, in TER, means anal.

In Finance, the Greeks are a collection of statistical values (expressed as percentages) that give the investor a better overall view of how a stock has been performing. These statistical values can be helpful in deciding what options strategies are best to use. eg. beta, rho, alpha

nabobs eventually have the effect of screwing over the average investor with their retirement funds held hostage, it is we who are getting the Greek.

I think Margules was commenting on the financial crisis in Greece, however the comment does tend to fall a bit flat.
