A boat and a trophy wife have a lot of things in common. They both have feminine names and you refer to them as she/her. They both command and attract a lot of attention. You are proud to show them off to your friends. You find yourself purchasing things that enhance their sleek lines. Your ego swells when you hear a compliment about them.

And so it goes on until that day you realize that you are more involved in maintaining them than you are actually in them.
