out of the many variants, here is a favorite....

A very tired cowboy drives into town (let's say Laramie WY) at the end of a long day spent punching doggies. Not paying any attention, he stops at the first bar (The Cattleman's Delite) walks up to the bar and exclaims "I am so danged thirsty, I could lick the sweat off the balls of a bull!".  

To which the entire bar explodes in a loud chorus: "moooooo...."
