A young couple moved into a new neighborhood next to an elderly widow. At first their relationship was cordial but the widow who was a bit of a busybody soon saw things that bothered her. She noticed that the young man on weekends would lie in a hammock sipping a cool drink while his wife would be taking out the trash, mowing the lawn, trimming the hedges, etc.
One day she finally couldn’t take it anymore and stormed over to the young couple’s house. She accosted the young man in his hammock and said “Young man, I see your wife doing all the work around your house while you just lie here relaxing. You should be hung!”
The young man paused for a moment, lowered his sunglasses, took a sip of his drink and calmly replied “ I am. That’s why she does all the work.”
