First of all what's Schwartz?
When the second one asks gross, is that like math or nasty? So there is the joke, but still I don't get it.

Provider #1: "I made $2000 yesterday."
Provider #2: "Gross?"
Provider #1: "No, Schwartz"

As I am typing, it says you only replied 12 minutes ago. I think it's worth some more thinking.
.
Gross could be math (in more than one way). Or nasty. Or something else.
.
I'll check back in a few hours to see if you got it.

-Made $2000
--Was it gross?
-No, nothing gross it was with good connections "shvarts" (looked it up).

Did I get it? still not funny.

...even though if you have to explain a joke, it takes all the humor out of it.

#2 was asking if the money was gross or net (after deducting hotel, Uber, etc.)
#1 thought she was asking the client's name, i.e., Mr. Gross.  So #1 replied with the client's name - Mr. Schwartz.

Now, do you want me to explain what "i.e." means?

I was just about to give "Mr. Robertini" a hint ... but we'll see if he gets it now.

even if explained it was very funny.

But I wonder how many didn't get it but they were not saying anything as not to seem dumb.
But now it doesn't matter. We all get it and we're all laughing.
Thank you.
