Not to start an argument but you're the one that needs to learn geography. People from India are called "Indians". India is on the continent of Asia. Therefore, "Indians" from India could be described as "Asian Indians"... although it's sort of redundant. I'm assuming that he means to distinguish from what we used to call "Indians" here in America but it hasn't been politically correct to refer to them as anything other than "Native Americans" for decades. Nevertheless, what he really needs to do is to go to comedy school... He knows less about comedy than my coffee table.
Here's something ironic. I read that a lot of "Native Americans" themselves have no problem with the term "Indians", and in a few cases, actually prefer it. Heck, even the Bureau of Indian Affairs still uses the term. Or we could adopt Canada's official term: "First Nations". Which I think is both dignified and accurate. Although, the most respectful way is using the proper name of the person's tribe.
