That pretty much invalidates the point that we attacked Germany when it was Japan who perpetrated Pearl Harbor.
"Please read and think."
There were 39 combat related killings
in Iraq during the month of January.....
In the fair city of Detroit there were
35 murders in the month of January.
That's just one American city,
about as deadly as the entire war torn country of
Iraq.
When some claim President Bush shouldn't
have started this war, state the following ..
FDR...
led us into World War II.
Germany never attacked us: Japan did.
From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost,
an average of 112,500 per year.
Truman..
finished that war and started one in Korea,
North Korea never attacked us.
From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost,
an average of 18,334 per year.
John F. Kennedy...
started the Vietnam conflict in 1962.
Vietnam never attacked us.
Johnson...
turned Vietnam into a quagmire.
From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost,
an average of 5,800 per year.
Clinton...
went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent,
Bosnia never attacked us.
He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter
three times by Sudan and did nothing.
Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.
In the two years since terrorists attacked us
President Bush has ...
liberated two countries,
crushed the Taliban,
crippled al-Qaida,
put nuclear inspectors in Libya,
Iran and North Korea
without firing a shot,
and captured a terrorist who slaughtered
300,000 of his own people.
The Democrats are complaining
about how long th e war is taking, but...
It took less time to take Iraq
than it took Janet Reno to take the
Branch Davidian compound.
That was a 51 day operation.
We've been looking for evidence of
chemical weapons in Iraq for less
time than it took Hillary Clinton to
find the Rose Law Firm billing records.
It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division
and the Marines to destroy the Medina
Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to
call the police after his Oldsmobile
sank at Chappaquiddick.
It took less time to take Iraq than it took
to count the votes in Florida!!!!
Our Commander-In-Chief is doing a GREAT JOB!
The Military morale is high!
The biased media hopes we are too ignorant to realize
the facts.
PASS THIS ON! THANKS!
At least this is in the right section. Bush and everything he has tried to do is a joke!!!!
Great response! I love the logical support of your position you offer here, Mr. Moore.
That is esy for you to say. . . You are likely not over there. Remember that Pro Football player who "died fofr his country"? In five years, no one except a few cclose friends of his will even remember him.
We tried helping the Iraqi people by rebuilding their power grids and water plants. How do they thank us? By blowing trying to kill these same people.
It is time to pull out and let them know - if ONE suicide bomber attacks and injures any AMerican outside of their country, we will give Bagdad 48 hours notice, and then we will level every single building. Then when the second suicide bomber strikes, we will give anotehr city 48 hours notice and then level it.
This got the message across to the Japanese in WWII. (I am not saying to use a nuclear bomb, just enough conventional bombs to do the job). It is time to give that message again!
wow- I thought you handle was a penile reference! Glad to see it was a description of mental depth.
Just giving you shit over a pretty fun but useless post. This is a complex situation and will require complex work to undo.
Whatever. Think I care what you think? I am unemployed AGAIN, wound up owing the IRS $7k the first time I was laid off because I didn't pay the proper penalties, it was $9K by the time I got remployed. People who owe MILLIONS of dollars settle for THOUSANDS, yet they made me pay every gd penny. Now we are spending BILLIONS of dollars to support people who hate us. Eventually, we will have to pay that cost. And the BILLIONS don't even matter when it comes to the loss of life of those dying over there - not to mention those that are seriously injured. Bush declared the "job finished". Unless we pull out, it will just go on and on and on, just like Viet Nam did. Maybe leveling one of their cities seems harsh, maybe you have a better answer?
Do you think the Iraqi majority is behind these attacks or the foreigners who flooded over the border with a chance to push their agenda safely (and I may add cowardly) away from their own families.
So do you really think these suicide bombers give a crap about a city in Iraq getting leveled? I'm guessing they don't.
Of course the suicide bombers don't care. However, the rest of the population will have an extreme interest in at least making an effort to stop them. Also, in these cities are likely "safe houses" and the places where the bombs are made and prepared. If you lived in Iraq and saw one or two cities completely leveled AS PROMISED, don't you think you'd be extremely unlikely to let a suicide bomber set up shop in your neighborhood?
Sure, it is cold and heartless. But we have tried the "be a good neighbor" approach and that has not seemed to work.
Finally, it is clear that a lot of U.S. companies are making huge profits at the expense of both the Iraqi people and their own employees. It is a shame that Iraqi's can not find work, yet a U.S. citizen can go over there and make $80,000 a year, (Personally, I would not go to Iraq for a MILLION dollars A DAY!)
This is simply not true. What happened was that some person saying that they represented Sudan, but it was later determined that this person had absolutely no standing in Sudan at all.
Has anybody actually talked with the military members? If you would, you would find that the military morale is quite low right now.
Japan and Germany were on the same side dummy! When you are fighting a war, and are directly attacked by a country, you must fight that country and all its allies.
A rather interesting quote: Secretary of State Warren Christopher said last week that the crisis in the former Yugoslavia is "an early and crucial test" of whether the post-cold-war world can combat the growing problem of ethnic and regional conflicts. To this end, he announced that American troops might join British, French and other United Nations forces in Bosnia-Herzegovina to "enforce" a peace agreement.
Notice the comment about French and United Nations Forces?
This post is in the right forum, because there is nothing more humorous about Shrub's handling of the country, and the neo-cons who follow him.
they just had common enemies. They had very little contact with each other and didn't perform joint operations. So at least that point in the original post is valid. IMHO.
Japan's role in tying up a lot of Russian troops was their main part of the cooperation. That the russkies went through them like a hot knife in '45 is true, but they did make Stalin leave a couple of army groups out east...
That pretty much invalidates the point that we attacked Germany when it was Japan who perpetrated Pearl Harbor.
[put nuclear inspectors in Libya,
Iran and North Korea
]
WRONG
not one single inspector is in North Korea, as a matter of fact its estimated that N.Korea now has over 6 Nuclear bombs. Perhaps bush didnt learn from pakistan. a 3rd world country with nukes WILL sell them.
and as for the inspectors in Iran, bush didnt do that; the UN did.
You're entitled to your opinion, but you'd be wise to not reveal how you arrived at your opinion if it's based on so many inaccuracies.
1) Your point about violence in American cities being greater than in Iraq points out two things:
a) You aren't counting Iraqi deaths
b) We should be spending money in America to fix our internal
problems rather than sending it to Iraq
2) Germany declared war on us in WWII.
3) In the Korea War the US was acting as part of the UN
4) In Vietnam, the US was trying to support an existing political
regime, not overthrow one. (That would be Panama & Grenada
....think Ronald Reagan)
5) Clinton sent troops to Bosnia with the participation of
UN and NATO nations (that was one of the complaints of the
conservatives!)
6) The reports about Osama's whereabouts were never from credible
sources and the one missle attact that Clinton ordered was
criticize by the Conservatives (who didn't like anything that
Clinton did)
7) If you consider regime change to be "liberation" then you're
correct about the 2 countries that Bush as liberated. But
since neither has been turned over to credible local governing
groups, you'd have to admit that the job is far from over
and not necessarily likely to end in success!)
8) There are no weapons inspectors in Iran or N. Korea (and there
won't be anytime soon), but he did get Libya to agree to be
less beligerent (although at a heavy cost of elevating its
trading partner status). Bush did capture Hussein.
9) The Janet Reno remark is foolish. She was trying to avoid
bloodshed while Bush was unleashing it. And it's open to
debate whether we've "taken" Iraq or it's taking us.
10) The Hillary remark is also foolish. She eventual found the
billing records...Bush will never find the WMDs.
11) The Ted Kennedy remark just shows that nobody relishes a
scandal as much as a neo-Con.
12) We should have taken more time to count the votes in
Flordia. A fruitless exercise when the Governor
(and Supreme Court)has already decided the outcome.
13) Morale in the military is the lowest its been since
Valley Forge. Talk to the reservists who were sent to
Iraq for a year...then 18 months...then 2 years...
14) Finally, the myth of the liberal press should be reserved
for a call-in to Rush, Sean and O'Reilly whose programs
dominate the airwaves crowding out any protest of the
repetition of drival (represented in your post).
Wake up...
