After a huge successful company deal, a man celebrated with his coworkers with an evening of drinks. They celebrated all night. The next morning, he woke up at home with a pounding headache and a wicked hang over. He couldn’t remember anything about last night. In fact, he couldn’t even remember how he got home.
His wife was not in bed. He got up and went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror only to see a kiss mark on his cheek and a big black swollen eye. “Oh no, what did I do?” He asked himself. He looked down to see 2 aspirins, a glass of water and a note that read: “My sweetest darling, I went to the grocery store so I can make your favorite meal. I’ll be right back. With love, your wife.”
Puzzled, he then went to the living room to discover a broken glass coffee table all over the floor and the couch covered with a plastic sheet. His son was watching TV.
“Son, do you know what happened to the coffee table and the couch?” he asked.
“Yea, you came home really drunk last night and tripped over the coffee table and broke it. Then you vomited all over the couch.” replied his son.
“And do you know about…this” pointing to his black eye and kiss mark.
“Yea, you got that when you ran into the bedroom door. And the kiss is from mom when she got up this morning.” said his son.
Still puzzled, he asked, “I don’t get it. Then why is she being so nice to me?”
He answered, “Because when she put you to bed and tried to take your clothes off, you screamed: Get off me lady, I’m married!”
