The agency phone rings. A man’s voice on the line. “I’m at the Ritz-Carlton, and I have a rather unique request. I need a girl sent to my room right away. She has to be extremely tall, and very thin, and she has to have red hair and freckles. No one else will do.”

The agency guy says, “You are in luck. As it happens, I have a girl who fits that description. She’s six feet tall, weighs about 100 pounds, and looks just like Little Orphan Annie from the comic strip. I’ll send her right over.”

There’s a knock on the hotel room door. The man answers, and standing there is exactly the girl he ordered, really tall, extremely thin, with red hair and freckles. He asks her to come in. She sees that the room is a large, expensive suite. He takes her coat. He hands her an envelope, which she puts in her purse. Then, he says, “Okay, now, take off all your clothes and stand there, naked, in your high heels.” She thinks it’s a bit odd, but she’s much odder requests, so she complies. After a minute, she’s standing there in nothing but her heels. He looks her over, her bony body, all elbows and knees, with her protruding ribs, her small breasts, and her frizzy red hair above and below. He nods and smiles with approval.

Then, he goes to the door that leads to the adjoining room. He goes into the other room, and a few seconds later returns with a little girl, no more than six or seven years old, with red hair and freckles, a miniature version of the woman standing there. The man says to the little girl, “Take a good look at her. Now, that’s what will happen to you if you don’t drink your milk.
