Because there are 500 providers in Dallas and only 200 in Houston...according to P411 anyway lol

The current Dallas TER board (formerly the Texas Board) has been around since early 2004. Sometime in late 2006 some of the mods ask a few of us who were active on this Board how they might expand TER's reach into Texas area. We suggested they open Boards for the other major cities in Texas simply due to their lack of proximity. In response, TER began the Houston Board in early 2007.

Even before the Houston TER Board began and there was only one regional TER Board for Texas it was still difficult to maintain any real activity beyond provider ads simply due to the dominance of another hobby Board in this area.

That said, hopefully the Houston board will continue to grow and increase in its activity.

Yes, I looked at the other dominant board and it dominated my right out of there.

I was thinking about visiting from Boston.
The board that I was going to use intimidated me and was very disheartened when I noticed the limited activity on Ter. .  Which always works best for me. . easy to navigate is the main reason!

Well, I guess we will see but everything still does appear "bigger in texas" for now.
