I get to Dallas a couple times a year because my ATF is there. Usually see her a couple nights thenattempt to meet a couple new [ to me] ladies on my free evenings. Have had some sucess as my reviews indicate. However I am always amazed at the high percentage of ladies I book with that end up canceling [ usually just hours before the appt] or rudely just fail to show up.  Dallas is the only city where I encounter this problem to the extent I think I can honestly expect onle one out of 4 appts to materialize. Recently I was at a hobbyist / provider party here in DC and discovered that this is pretty much a common experience for us outta towners.  Whats the deal? Do you local players have the same problem.  BTW...I usually make contact well in advance..sending info about me..a few references [ at least one being local to Dallas...stay in nice hotels...have a long history on a couple boards.. and in all modesty am pretty much the perfect client. I do request outcall and suppose location plays a role [ sometimes I am near TCU or the airport} but if location is inconvenient why do they agree to the appt in the first place.  And I do prefer a one hr appt for the inital appt as no matter how well reviewed a lady is you never really know if the chemistry is going to be there. If we really click I will tend to do multiple hrs for future visits.  I know the ladies suffer no shows and cancelations all the time...and that really sucks.  But in all my years of hobbying I ghave always respected others time and have never even been late for an appt.  Just wodering what the deal is and how I might improve my sucess rate.

The largest concentrations of providers in the DFW Metroplex are in the northern area of Dallas. From there to DFW is approximately 30 minutes. TCU area is at least an hour and there are few providers that advertise in that area.

That said, if you are in the DFW area, there are several providers with nice incalls very close by some of whom may be willing to pick you up.

What I did not mention in my post that only a few even respond to my initial inquiry.  Since I always include the area I will be staying , you comment explains the lack of response. This I understand.  But, why do the ladies go to the trouble of checking references [ mine are great, by the way] ..book the time ..then not honor it?

The ladies on this Board might have a better response but I would surmise that some put you on the calendar hoping for a "better or closer" opportunity (i.e. a safety net).

Others may simply won't say "no" and would rather just not appear. Obviously, not good business either way.

But again, in this instance I think it wiser to defer to the ladies.

Reallas : No Shows/Cancelations Question

While not in any way condoning no shows I will take a stab at why you may be seeing this problem.  
There are really at least four possibilities (or a combination of the four)...
First might be location. There are definately fewer of us FW gals so the TCU location might be a problem although the airport shouldn't really be.  
Second, is the fact that its an outcall.  If a Lady sets an outcall appt and then gets the opportunity for an incall at the same time she may choose the incall for convenience.
Third, its an outcall for only one hour.  Most Ladies prefer outcall to be for multiple hours, especially if they are having to travel a long distance.  They will take one hour outcalls but its easier to drop it if something closer and for a longer amount if time comes along.
Finally, add to all of the above reasons the fact that, (from what you wrote I am assuming this, I apologize if I assume incorrectly) it sounds as if you would be a new client for them so they have no track record with you.  If a regular contacts them for the same time they may decide to take the proven quantity.
Again, I am in no way saying any of these are valid reasons.  Although I do not do outcall, I have always tried to run this "business" of fantasy fulfillment as that, a business.  When you set an appointment it is your professional obligation to do everything in your power to appear prepared and on time.  Of course life does happen and even I have had to cancel at the last minute due to conditions beyond my control but these should always be the exception, never the rule.
I'm sorry for your difficulties in this area.  My suggestion, if you can not change any of the above circumstances, would be to keep trying to find a regular Lady who is aware of your circumstances and can work with you and make her a regular part of your trips to our fair city!

Between you and OFF I think I have a pretty good picture and I suppose it's about  what I expected.  Since I travel quite a bit my inquiry was driven by the fact that this seems to happen more in the Dallas area than anywhere else, and as I mention in my post I am discovering other hobbyist are having the same experience.  So I have to think there is simply a little bit of a different business culture in the DFW scene.  Actually, Taylor my ATF is in Dallas.  If I am in town 5 nights I will usually see her 3 evenings...each appt being multi hr. But being a hobbyist [ or hell, lets face it.. I am a "man Slut" ] I usually try to meet a couple new ladies each trip.   Oddly, just about every provider I have seen there during the past few years have relocated or retired.  I think you are probably right about the multi hr appt . I will take that into consideration.However,  when traveling  I really prefer outcall.  I stay in nice hotels...love the preparation for the encounter [ candles..gift bag etc..]and  the anticipation of the soft knock on the door.   BTW...I will be staying at the airport in Jan...then back near TCU early Feb.....has anybody ever been known to lure you to do an outcall?

I don't know about the cancels in the area - but maybe it is outcall?  I never mind outcalls, but then, I travel a lot so it doesn't bother me....

Maybe for some ladies, it is scary - maybe they want to - but then chicken out thinking about being outside their own space / own element...

Maybe on your next trip, find some ladies in the Ft. Worth / DFW Area and consider in INCALL.

It is really sad to hear that you were stood up or just no showed. The fact is the Dallas market has changed. Have you thought about asking your ATF for a few suggestions? If she is from this area, it might help.

I know you said you like outcall, but you might think of incall to see Taylor. I know of several guys who think it is well worth the drive to her incall. She is located in Fort Worth also.

I am guess the locaton is a factor for you. Example:  I am in far North Dallas, i would take me at least 1hr 15 min to get to the TCU area, okaytravel that time home, 1 hr call, Prep time to travel (gas up car etc...)and that 1 hr call has just consumed 3 1/2 hr at the very least of my daily time. That is time I  am away from clients that I  know. Also some may be a bit iffie due to fact you are an out of towner and no sure if you will actually be there to answer the door (yes that happens some are reporting.

I do outcall to the area you mention all the time but insist on at least a 2 hr call or try and help find someone closer.

Not accepting an appt request due to location is perfectly understandable and reasonable. I really do not know the geography of the DFW area  so I am sure I've contacted ladies a great distance from my location.  However, my question was because I was simply baffeled why so many ladies would schedule with me [ and as I said ..this seems to be a common experience withother outta towner's] that they do not intend to honor.  I think the various replies have been insightful.  BTW...I do not think anyone who bothered to check with any of my references would have any worries as to my reliability or character.  As for my ATF...yeah, you would think she could be more helpful with recommendations...I think she is trying to keep me all to herself..LOL !!   Incidently, I first booked with her because she has a 1 1/2 rate which I find to be exceptionally attractive. Gives time to get to know one another without the implied expectations of a 2 hr appt.  Thanks for the help River....cool name...cool site !
