OK - Call me dumb but I'm a newbie to this and all the really interesting providers seem to require 2-3 references from prior providers.  How does a newbie get into this scene without getting scammed by someone?

Find a decent agency in the city that you live in and see a few girls then when you see an indy you can use the agency as reference.

Many indy's will see you without a references (including me).  If you don't have references the indy will require other information such as where you work and a work number.  The point of the references  is to first insure you are not Law Enforcement and secondly that you are safe to be with (you're not going to beat her up, rip her off or hurt her).  If you contact someone by email be friendly, and forth coming with information, such as:  "I would like to meet you for an hour this week.  I don't have references, but my contact number is xxx-xxxx, additional information is avaiable if you have time to meet."  This tells the indy that you expect to be screened and starts things off on the right foot.

Once you do see someone, post a review.  That way in the future you are "better known" for an indy and it makes life a bit easier.  Hope this helps and the best of luck!

provide more personal information about yourself.  If you are going to use an agency in the Dallas area, I would recommend using Private Connections.  They are a reputable agency that often has girls that are indy's working for them while traveling or otherwise.  I'm sure you can figure out what information you would have to part with to get a reference and they are great people to work with.  Good Luck!
