Why did Lenny single YOU out?

Zangari6761 reads

Porn star Rachel Love will be in Dallas on April 22-23. MIss Love has been on the cover of Hustler and Gent.  Her rate: $1600 per hour.

Just for fun, lets say you decide to spend the night with her.  That's $1600 X 8 hours = $12,800 in the envelope.  Maybe you'll get the overnight discount and a mint on your pillow.

As Nina Moretti likes to say to hobbyists who complain about a rate:  "Just find someone that you can afford".

Ouch.  --z

Honey, you're making me look like I'm just a huge beotch... LOL!

I don't get complains, where did that come from? You need some serious spanking for that one! :-P

My website states:
MY FEES ARE NOT NEGOTIABLE. IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD THEM,PLEASE CONTACT SOMEONE ELSE. But that's standard though, right ladies? Most providers will not negotiate their fees! Or at least they shouldn't!

Still love ya lots!
Nina

The principles of economics hold true for all types of human exchanges, "companions" included. Ultimately, the market will determine a companions compensation. Bear in mind, "Compensation" is the reflection of the collective consciencious. Compensation, embodies the values of a society. For example, physical beauty, intelligence, reputation, status etc.., I find it amusing when the service provider's discuss "fees." They can not view the exchange from our perspective nor can we empathize with them. Compensation is like water seeking it's leveling point. It is an ongoing process. Luke

Nina: I'm always thankful for TER search (see link below).  But I thought your reply on the referenced thread was funny and dead-on.
And I think you're worth your rate. But now Rachel Love wants to kill me AND I'm on the wrong side of Nina M (Why does God hate me so?)

Luke: your abstract post about economics neglects distortion in the market. People often pay much more than they should for a commodity due to fraud or ignorance. With the mortgage crisis & financial meltdown on Wall Street, anyone who has read a newspaper in the last six months should know that now.

Take care, --z

Z- the markets that you are referring to fail to provide as a fair comparison to the Service Provider Industry. Over time, I am certain that this will become clear to you. Luke

Luke: your 2nd post on this thread contradicts
your first post:

Gospel of Luke, Post #1: "The principles of economics hold true for all types of human exchanges, "companions" included."

Gospel of Luke, Post #2: "the markets that you are referring to fail to provide as a fair comparison to the Service Provider Industry"

Either economic principles hold true for all types of human exchanges (post #1) or they don't (post #2).  Debate yourself & let us know who wins.  --z

Z, you stated that a service provider's price for companionship was beyond reason. Who's reason, yours? Your subjective opinion, is assnine because you are beyond the dynamic of the exchange. If you fail to see value in the price that she is asking, "here's a novel idea" Don't pay it! As for your novice observation that market principals are uniformly applicable, wake up! They aren't. The Service Provider Industry is the last vestage of a true/pure market. We are void of any price-control mechanisms. We adhere to austere principles of supply and demand. No Tariffs, Market-Makers, Float Requirements, Margin Limitations, Up-Tick Rules, Taxpayer Bailouts...etc.., The man who paid 13k for an evening may have felt that it was money well spent, bully for both the provider and the hobbist....I'm certain that they both enjoyed their time together....Luke

The provider industry is not a 'true market'.  Due to its illegal nature (like the drug trade)  it's a 'black market'--thus the market price is artificially high.

The idea that this is an unregulated market--your local govt, represented by your local police dept, will cuff you and arrest you if you are caught engaging in this activity. That adds risk, and cost, to the whole enterprise.

And you still have a contradiction between Post #1 and Post #2.  Nice try.  --z

Partner,

You've got a line on the 'reality' factor of this one, for sure.

I also ALMOST get what Luke is saying...that first Gospel is a good standard as far as Economics go, in regards to the marketplace...I think, in his 2nd Arrangement, he was attempting to do what Zangari just did with only three strokes of the keyboard, and in very little time:

That is the definition of "illicit", is it not?

Good thread for the Ladies, too...Alea and Nina, I have missed your voices. Wonderful to read you again!

Okay,
Bobbo

Local govenrments, LE etc.., simply create parameters by attempting to defining human behavior. They do nothing to regulate "long-term" price, supply or demand. The effect that they have upon a market is temporal at best. For example look at "prohibition." Allow me to test your theory. If I am to assume that your observation is accurate, then there would be a direct correlation between the average asking price of a service provider and the local/national criminal justice arrest statistics. However, as those statistics fluctuate the vast majority of SP's prices remain constant. Conversely, look at the correlation between "unemployment" and "service provider's" prices! Now, you are on to something. I stand by my opinion, no price is unreasonable nor to high for a consumer if competition exists in a market that is free from monopoly, price fixing, collusion, coercion..etc The lady who asks 12k for a night is running her advertisement in the same medium as her competition. So, your opinion that she is unreasonable can only be supported or dismissed by the market. Regardless, of how many people may agree with you. She may only need one person to disagree then she has her client. Therefore, the Service Provider Industry operates as close to a true/pure market as there is in our counry. Personally, I prefer it that way. Luke

Luke, your assertion that prostitution is a "true/pure market" is a fallacy, and no amount of economic jargon will change that.  Prostitution is a black market--that's not an opinion but a truism, and just about everyone on this board understands that.  Due to the nature of a black market, many potential buyers & sellers will NEVER enter the market due to its high risk.  That skews the supply/demand curve (and price) from the very beginning.

Many of our practices on TER result from operating in a black market: screening, two-call system, hobby phones, aliases.  It's like being a member of a secret society.  And it breaks my heart when I make love to a beautiful woman and I don't even know-her-name. But that's the price we pay to live in the black market.

I don't understand your motives for persisting in this argument and I don't care.  But I'll refrain from attacking you & offer my friendship instead.  Be careful out there, Luke.  --z

Just healthy academic debate, nothing more. We can agree to disagree. Happy hunting, Luke

I was only been sarcastic babe, I hope you didn't take it personal...

XOXO,
Nina

but knowing you, and your flirty nature I thought it would take more than that to get your panties bunched up... lol

I marvel when I hear from ladies how certain guys will try to negotiate - even worse, when they are there in session - not before!

Do these morons have any clue as to how cheap they appear, how inconsiderate and how much of a turn off that is.And it really gives a picture of their true nature in life; it's text book Psychology 101. And when I know who they are and read their reviews - I have a good laugh.

And then the original post - how does anyone charge that much for their time? I agree with Z... seems ridiculous to me, but then it's all relative... there are guys I know with so much money - they want to be watching porno with their buds and say,' yeah, I did her!'  So there will always be a market and to each his own - WALDT.
