Right you are, Jack. 'Course, I had no intentions of falling into that particular scam at the time, it's just that I was surprised to see it done that way so close to home--in a really good neighborhood, to boot! Have you ever seen anything like that where you are?

Early this morning, I think I witnessed a "new" tact in advertising: at around 5:30am, I'm driving down a suburban street in Fort Worth (very "nice" part of town where I live, near TCU) for a pack of smokes. I'd just gotten up for the morning, and that's the one time of the day that I still smoke cigarettes--but when you're out, you're out.

Near the intersection of Hulen and I-20, the car travelling next to me honked their horn, and I looked over to see a wide-eyed, grinning female in the passenger seat, waving happily. It was like seeing someone you know well; as if I was being hailed in public by some old ex-girlfriend, or something. I couldn't help but smile and wave back, thinking to myself, "Hmm. Interesting." That's when she pointed ahead, towards South Hulen (we'd almost reached the intersection, just North of the Hulen Mall).

Having reached my location at the corner, I shook my head, waved goodbye, and whipped into the right turning lane onto the service road. I'd reached my destination, anyway.

Is this a new form of drumming up business, or just an invitation to robbery, I wonder? And what would you call it?! A "Hailing Escort," or maybe just a "Drive-by Courtesan?" Let me know if you've seen this before in your neighborhood; I was quite pleasantly surprised, but not interested at the time, considering the hour and my trepidation of the role of the male driver of the car...

Okay,
Bobbo

P.S. I've just seen a Backpage girl that looks a LOT like the woman in the car. Coincidence? Hmm.

I think you were smart not to follow her.  A guy can get hurt that way!  No screening; you have no idea who is following her, and if she is LE or the wrong side of LE.  Stay smart and stick with good reputable sources.
Just my 2 cents.
