Not sure if you're looking for daytime activity but as a recent semi-transplant here, I find Dallas has some of the best art museums I've seen, especially the Asian Art Museum. A great way to spend a Sunday between this, the Design Museum (forgotten its name) and the Dallas Art Center.

A very cultured city.
