Gentlemen! Howdy. An old hand at hobbying, but new to the Houston hobby scene, asks for advice. Write me at book_guy "at" yahoo.com if you want (though I'm not able to access VIP mail here at TER currently). Here's the story:

First, you can check to see that I've been a member here at TER before, but it's been a long time since I've posted a review. Sorry, I haven't been "in" the hobbying community for a while, new job, no funds, etc. But at least you can tell I'm on the up and up, and I've been a "presence" at various internet boards for a while now, so I hope my readers feel they can trust me.

Second, I am asking for advice.

I'm thinking of doing some quick last-minute plane flights into Houston for the purpose of Hobbying. I'm mostly new to that city's hobbying (never visited) and I'd like some advice on how I might succeed at hobbying while there. I probably will want to be at a cheap "ho-tel-no-tell" near the Airport, and would rather not spend more than, say, $60 for one or two nights.

I'm wondering what scene will be available in Houston and would want basics, like how much I should expect to pay,  is GF-experience available, which agencies / spas / websites / ladies to consult, what neighborhoods are good stomping grounds, what not to risk, that sort of stuff.

Also, one thing that I personally REALLY like to do is 'scope' the ladies by means of seeing them dancing, and by flirting with them, before I choose one particular provider. I loved the Ontario strip clubs where that was a possibility back when I lived in Toronto (remember Fantasia in Richmond Hill! or Roman's Babies in Welland; and nowadays you'll hear on the internet there's that type of action in some Tampa and Memphis clubs, and of course in San Francisco) -- kind of skanky, but it really adds to the allure for me, providing a type of "hunt" and "chase" before the "catch." And it meant seeing her many assets displayed on stage before having any sunk cost, if ya know what I mean. Is that possible at some / any of the strip clubs or other type places in Houston? I hear that Treasures is a good bet.

Ideally, I'd like a good set of recommendations for one spa / in-call / massage-plus-benefits experience, and another set of recommendations for one strip-club / scope-plus-benefits experience. And some links to maps with hotels on them, or something of the sort.

Remember that I'll be limited to public transportation or taxis, unless I rent a car, and also interested in keeping to a budget. I had hoped to do it all without renting a car.

If anyone has suggestions, or a FAQ or other internet resource to point me to (other than the obvious ones -- the reviews at TER; TUSCL; Eros.com for Houston; worldsexguide.com), I'd appreciate it. Also, typical pitfalls -- where NOT to hobby, where tourists typically get taken advantage of, how to not appear like an out-of-towner, etc. Should I wear a big Stetson hat? :P
