How embarrassing for Dallas!

Hello Dallas,

My name is Devin and am based out NYC. I have been to Dallas once before but I ended up staying by the Galleria Mall and came home shocked. It wasn't because of business but I experienced something I've never had in my entire life. I went to the mall and people were so mean to me and I was staying in beautiful hotel where I got the worst attitude but as soon as I put my foot down I pretty much got what I paid for. I've asked a lot of people why? I got some answers. On my profile it says I'm Middle Eastern(COMPLIMENT TO ME) but I am half East Indian and half I would rather keep private due to discretion. I've got olive skin(you can say fair but exotic)and can pretty pass for anything due to my mix. I have a lot of friends from the Dallas area and I didn't like the answer I got. I want to visit the Dallas area but am not sure where is the best area to stay. If anyone can tell me the area I would really appreciate it. I always stay in 4-5 STAR hotels so please do let me know by emailing me or however anyone would feel comfortable doing it. I will be coming in probably next Wed. for 2 days only and if anyone wants to pre-book, please do by filling out the reservation form on my website or by calling me with your accurate information. Hope you guys can help me out. Thanks.

Regards,

Devin

That's horrible, and I'm so sorry you went through that. Ordinarily, I'd recommend the Galleria district since it's convenient to a lot of areas of the city (straight shot to downtown, easy to get to DFW airport, close to the upscale suburbs in Plano/Frisco). I definitely understand why you'd want to try somewhere else!

The downtown and surrounding areas have a lot of 4-5 star hotels. ZaZa as mentioned above is lovely. The W is also gorgeous (and has an amazing sushi restaurant at the base), and the Fairmont downtown is a classic -- I always feel like I should be wearing pearls and red lipstick and drinking a martini when I go there. I recently visited the Crescent Court and Ritz Carlton and was very impressed with both.

The ZaZa and W do require a room card to operate the elevators, so that's something to keep in mind when scheduling dates.

It's near downtown. Extremely friendly and professional staff.  I've stayed there often.
