TER Friends and Members
As some of you know I have been battling cancer for some time now. The battle is fought and won, or lost, each day with the culmination of victories and defeats deciding the overall outcome. While undergoing months and months of numerous chemotherapy treatments followed up by radiation therapy I can proudly say that I have given it my very best efforts.
In a last effort to try and save myself, I am going to Europe to get treated with medicines that are not legal to administer in this country, and hopefully return back to the U.S. a cancer free person or to die on my own soil. This way I will have tried everything possible to stay alive and can die with a clear conscience knowing so.
Effective July 1, 2011, I will turn the reins of this board and my other two boards, Chicago and Houston to Fugly who has been training for several months under my tutelage and has the DC board and two others already. Fugly, in my opinion, is probably one of the best moderators TER has currently. He is very fair and has a dynamic personality, a fair but firm person, a bit eccentric sometimes and he has a flair for fun and excitement on the boards. I’m confident that you will find him a suitable replacement for me while I am gone. In truth he has been doing the majority of the work the past few weeks as I have been too weak to do so.
God willing, I will be back to the U.S. in mid August and shortly there after will be back on my boards. In the event I do not make it back or I am unable to resume my duties, I wanted to take the time to thank all of you for what we have shared together. Along the road I have made some surprisingly good relationships with both the guys and the girls. There have been many laughs, some fantastic memories and some deep personal relationships. Regrettably there are several things I wish I could get a do over on and change what I have said or done, or in some cases not done. Those will forever remain wishes as they can never be changed. I regret that very much.
In closing, if there are any requests that you may have that you feel I can be of assistance in, please send me a PM with your requests. I will do my very best to get those fulfilled before I depart. Effective July 1, I will no longer have access to TER, my account will be held in suspension awaiting my possible return. Do not PM me after July 1.
I wish all of you the very best and I thank you for allowing me to have this position on your board. Please take care of yourselves and each other, and remember that kindness is something you never have to apologize for.

I'm not sure what do say except to say something. First, you write beautifully and although I do not know you and actually haven't even seen your handle until a few moments ago, you do seem like someone that I wished that I had met at some point.
Good luck with all the future has to offer you. It's my sincere hope that you'll return to the US more healthy and vital as ever. If not, just know that there will be people here who will think of you a remember fond thoughts ... and smile.

While we have never met, I have found you to be an up front type of guy and I hope and pray that you are able to over come the illness that is plaguing you and return to us with a new lease on life. I commend your bravery and will to fight and sincerely hope it is rewarded.
