Not sure you're handling the hose correctly!  Just hold firmly and squeeze!  Something should come out!  Or, you may need to get some additional help on this one.

I'll be needing some help on this.  Every time I touch it, it squirts something out!  Maybe you're right, I just need a firmer grip?

Just be careful!  If you grip the hose too hard and kink it, the cylinder might just explode.  Not a good situation to be in!  You'll be covered in that sticky liquid.  It's best to grab it firmly, but should be able to slide your hand on it.  Then you should be able to direct it in the direction you want.  Hope this helps!
