There are quite a few ladies here, and Chicago is a pretty competitive city, and this time of year can be a bit difficult. Personally, I find other outlets during the winter months, like camming and such. I find it surprising that you would get unsolicited messages about specials. When I do specials, I just put it on my ads and I do fine. Unless I am announcing a tour, I don't feel right reaching out to a gent and being like "Hey I'm doing a special lets get together." With ISO's, ads, Twitter, etc I am able to get my specials announcements out pretty well.
Side note, if any ladies feel like they need help getting the word out on their specials feel free to message me and I can try to offer some tips. I didn't realize how competitive Chicago can be until I started touring. My first few years here, I thought Chicago was a great and fairly easy city. I was at a meet and greet once, and overheard some ladies talking about how Chicago is one of the most difficult cities to work in, and I was surprised because I never really felt that way, but I didn't have a lot of experience anywhere else.
It seems to me that there an incredible number of providers in Chicago. I get at least one PM a day offering a special or discount. Providers who don't me are offering specials. Are there more ladies or less men?

To be fair, a message typically begins "Hey, I saw your cute review..." or "I liked your comment..." They don't use the term special but are subtle. Most of the time, I think they are at home bored and just want to start a conversation that they hope leads somewhere. I don't think its a big deal and don't want to start drama on the board. I certainly am not complaining about any lady.
Oh, those messages. Yea I have received a few of them. While I took them to be marketing feelers, none of them implied a special that I could tell. Then again, I have been conditioned by innumerable warnings on web sites to think that asking for a bargain, or in many cases even mentioning the donation, is an unforgivable insult.
Jamie, are you comparing touring other cities to "regular" availability in Chicago? That doesn't seem like a fair comparison because you are automatically scarce when touring... there for a couple days then gone for an indeterminate time. I have a long list of locals I hope to see eventually but if someone catches my eye while she's visiting she pretty much automatically gets priority. Don't know if that's typical but I would guess it is.
