As some of you know I have been battling cancer for some time now. The battle is fought and won, or lost, each day with the culmination of victories and defeats deciding the overall outcome. While undergoing months and months of numerous chemotherapy treatments followed up by radiation therapy I can proudly say that I have given it my very best efforts.

In a last effort to try and save myself, I am going to Europe to get treated with medicines that are not legal to administer in this country, and hopefully return back to the U.S. a cancer free person or to die on my own soil. This way I will have tried everything possible to stay alive and can die with a clear conscience knowing so.

Effective July 1, 2011,  I will turn the reins of this board and my other two boards, Dallas and Houston to Fugly who has been training for several months under my tutelage and has the DC board and two others already. Fugly, in my opinion, is probably one of the best moderators TER has currently. He is very fair and has a dynamic personality, a fair but firm person, a bit eccentric sometimes and he has a flair for fun and excitement on the boards. I’m confident that you will find him a suitable replacement for me while I am gone. In truth he has been doing the majority of the work the past few weeks as I have been too weak to do so.

God willing, I will be back to the U.S. in mid August and shortly there after will be back on my boards. In the event I do not make it back or I am unable to resume my duties, I wanted to take the time to thank all of you for what we have shared together. Along the road I have made some surprisingly good relationships with both the guys and the girls. There have been many laughs, some fantastic memories and some deep personal relationships. Regrettably there are several things I wish I could get a do over on and change what I have said or done, or in some cases not done. Those will forever remain wishes as they can never be changed. I regret that very much.

In closing, if there are any requests that you may have that you feel I can be of assistance in, please send me a PM with your requests. I will do my very best to get those fulfilled before I depart. Effective July 1, I will no longer have access to TER, my account will be held in suspension awaiting my possible return. Do not PM me after July 1.

I wish all of you the very best and I thank you for allowing me to have this position on your board. Please take care of yourselves and each other, and remember that kindness is something you never have to apologize for.

I know I'm not alone when I say, I find a European accent to be quite the turn on so if you should find yourself with one upon your return- hang on to that bugger

Thanks for your help and advice over the years and keep a positive outlook while you're in Europe. A good mental attitude can work wonders for the physical being so keep all of your friends here in mind, remember the good times we've had so far, and keep looking forward to those to come. We dont know each other, and I know its hard, but try to keep an extremely overly postitve attitude. Not just a postitive attitude, but try to amp it up 1000 percent if you can, and truly believe that you will be cured.  Erase all doubt, and  keep in your mind that the cancer is only temporary and even though you might feel weak, deep inside your body, depths that you didnt even know existed, there is a power there that will destroy this cancer and everything you do only makes you stronger and the cancer weaker. See in your mind, the cancer is being erased by your body and the treatments you are having. Keep such a positive attitude that you are glowing with life and people can see it and feel it.

I hope this helps and if it does print it and keep it with you to remind yourself, and dont forget there are lot of people, both that know you and dont know you that are sending you positive thoughts, vibes and prayers. Take care and beat the shit out of that cancer.

Just a side note to hopefully make you laugh, Ive been waniting to take the plunge for a few years now, (almost did last year, didnt work out) but Im too much of chicken shit to do it LOL.

Tell you what, when you get back here cancer free and you will ( that is your only option), I will set up a date ( with a girl, not you lol ) and you can give me some pointers, so I wont be so nervous that I pass out, lol.

I was glad to work with you, and in the end you were the one person who really had my back. It takes a special person to forge their own opinions on people and situations, and you are one of them. You have been a fair and impartial Moderator.  In addition, you have positively added to the Board with productive ideas (your free-for-all's, etc.) and kept the Board interesting and informative.  Based upon my experience, you have doubtless been helpful to many of us on an individual basis.

Based upon what I know of you, I would be proud to call you my friend should we ever have the chance to meet.  

I'm sure you have a strong personal support network.  You also have a Board full of people who would be happy to help you in any way they can.  Some will pray, some will think positive thoughts, some will witness your example of courage and grace in the face of adversity and apply it to their lives or others.
