I have decided to stay in Chicago till next week and enjoy the snow.  What are some good places to go? Any mom and pop places to eat?

Chicago History Museum. They have several exhibitions, tours and lots of stuff going on

Lincoln Park Conservatory - get your brain groovin for the spring.

Museum of Holography - Saw a model of the space shuttle that was just hovering in the air, no pallette background; you could walk completely around it.  Freaky.

Jazz Showcase - nuff said.

Museum of Contemporary Art - I dig that place. Saw an original artwork once "Man falling off Ladder", shot at like 20 different angles in slomo, with Ride of the Valkyries as the background music. Hilarious.

Eats?  Go to Tampopo....way north on Lincoln Ave. The sushi is stupid good.

Now get your bored azz a movin'!!!

Just saw a Yelp post dated on January 8th.  A shame.

Sooo quaint with the best Italian food and I like to pretend the older gents with the pinkie rings are mobsters.  Who knows maybe they are???

They have the best starters (which are free) pizza bread, fresh Italian bread with olive oil and parm, soup and salad all included and really great cappollini (sp?) or basically anything! Wine selection is swell and bananas foster will set your heart on fire.  The ambiance is superb with candlelit private tables. Can you tell I go there, like every month?

Also, Geja's Cafe is fun cuz if you stay after midnight on Fridays they clear the floor and let you flamenco dance to live music.  Sweet!  BTW it's right off LSD in Lincoln Park.

Posts on Yahoo Travel say the Museum Of Holography is closed!! That's too bad, it looked like an interesting place  to visit!!!

Come on, bored in Chicago! If you google things to do in Chicago, good luck muddling through the fifty or more pages of fantastic activities, restaurants, musical venues, etc.  Chicago is a lot of things, but boring is not one of them.

When I saw that you hard responded, I thought for sure you were going to send her to the Cubs Convention!!!!!!   lol

Ghiradelli Chocolate - you get a free piece of chocolate every time you go in!
