Contacted a provider around 2:30 on weekend afternoon to inquire as to rates and availability, in the meantime she posted 2 more ads to BP.  During the next 4 1/2 hours I texted and called her multiple time and headed in her direction.  Hung out at a bar awaiting response, after a few cryptic texts called her and she said I can't talk now I'll call right back.  After half hour or so texted and she said "to be honest I'm a little nervous about you"  I called and she said I had texted her back 3 months prior and that made her nervous.  I explained that i didn't recall contacting her and in the interim had to replace phone and lost message history.  She then asked age, job and if I was law enforcement.  i answered her questions and she said I needed to send a selfie.  I told her that was a problem as a number of boards I visit strongly suggest to never send a picture.

The other day.  She posted back to back. We talked after which I got the address. I pulled up and then no answer no replies to text?  At least she gave a reason...

Asking if someone is LE is good enough.  It means nothing.

then it means she is a nervous Nellie and not found anyone who makes her feel comfortable. Don't worry it was nothing personal, I am sure a lot of other caller faced the same issue.
Who was the lady in question? May be she'll see me as I have a foreign accent and how many cops in the Chicago area have that...LOL

Is such a damn waste. Imagining random hobbyist sitting in the parking lot or bar....clenching phone and donation hot in pocket.........

I 1st saw your post on BP. I'm hoping to meet you at some point. There are great providers on BP.  If one does their research they should be fine. I'm still not sure what happened in my case, but sometimes appointments fall thru. Some legit reasons and some not.

I haven't used BP in forever... I started out there when it was decent but now hearing horrid stories...... Along with the most recent shooting incident in W Virginia, I will be very cautious of whom you see on BP!!!  See the general board for the story about BP serial killer being shot by escort, he maybe linked to 6 or more murders in Ohio....   I was naive & just starting out but I also never had bad manners of standing up hobbyists & used caution on whom I saw... My price range also was higher then most... But I agree with you... My AFTS that I still have to this day I've met via BP!!!!

Backpage has changed significantly over the years. The more it is in the media, the more the average Jane thinks that they can post on it when they need a few dollars. I personally, wish that I could contact every lady using backpage and educate her. But, you can't.  

You don't have to advertise on every site to be a success in this biz... I've started out on BP, then found ter (I love ter), got p411 offered to me by the owners.... I haven't spent hundreds of dollars on paying to advertise on every hooker site nor spend on photos...  Simple rules: offer great memorable service, clients will return over over over again...
