Even though you would rather not use a screening service, it might be a good idea since you likely will not have any references. There are providers out there that are newb friendly, however it will take some searching.
If anything you might want to connect with a past provider that you have seen so you can get the ball rolling again.

(Don't worry people, you'll eventually get that review from me) But I had a similar post just a few weeks ago. I just wanted to "test the waters" before joining one of those sites. Many of the women that you will chat with on this board won't give you the time of day unless you get verified. Verification from one of the services will open the doors for you.
Yes, you are putting your info into the hands of someone else when you do apply. That was rather uneasy for me to do, but after chatting with the people on this board and communicating with someone from the verification site, I did it. I joined RS2K which is a lifetime membership, so you'll only have to do it once. I realized I wanted to have some fun with the "Higher Quality Providers" on here, and not take my chances with all that is bad on BP. (read the papers, that's were I learned about BP and not in a good way) There are far worse things that could happen with your private info or personal life if you don't get verified and make a move at a fly by night poster. The higher quality ladies on here want that verification to prove you're not Leo or any other things those sites may check your background for. (Ex. convicted criminal, rapist, murderer, pedophile) Remember they're taking chances too with seeing you for a first time and if they provide "Incall" they've got their personal info attached to the rental of the place or the bill for the hotel. So they're taking their chances too.
After using my membership once so far........the lady I saw was all that and more than I expected! With me being new, I won't even consider a provider unless she is very well reviewed on this board, because I have too much to lose. (You won't see me TOFTT) Trust me when I say, I'm glad I took everyone's advice on here and got verified.
