Here is a question for everyone...what are you're thoughts in p411 and/or rs2k?

I've been hobbying for just over a year and have primarily stuck with a few agencies and an occasional independent. when asked for references, I generally provide the same independent, but honestly feel bad pointing towards this individual over and over again.  

As a provider, is there an additional comfort level received when someone is verified through through p411 or rs2k, over getting references or reading there reviews on TER?  Which do you prefer?

As a hobbyist, what was the reason that you decided to get verified through one of these, or why have you actively chosen not to?

How much "data" is collected and stored by p411 or rs2k?

This topic comes up repeatedly here on the Chicago board; you can search for similar discussions in the recent past. I'll just summarize what I have observed as the essence of a dozen discussions on this topic here.  

There are basically two perspectives; those of the providers, many of whom favor RS2K because it requires the hobbyist to give out his real name and other info to every lady he sees. How much "data" is collected and stored by RS2K is not the issue, it's how much is saved by all of those providers. They often say they discard it once they have verified you, but we know that's not always true. So, if a provider gets into trouble with LE, she may be coerced to give up list of clients to strike a deal. Google it, it happens often. In addition, you have the possibility of other problems besides a LE issue when she knows your real name. I'm not saying that the majority of professional, well-reviewed ladies on here would be a problem, but problems do come up. Again, look at the record and decide if you are willing to risk your reputation, job, relationship.  

The perspective of most hobbyists, on the other hand, is that you'd have to be insane to give out your real info in this business. You are engaging in an illegal activity, period. Should you put yourself in the power of those who provide the illegal activity? The providers don't use their real names, why should the hobbyists be required to? The issue of "safety" for the ladies will come up, it always does. That's vitally important, but there are ways of ameliorating that risk that experienced providers know. I won't comment further on this; the public record and recent discussions will give plenty of opinions on this topic.  

P411 will allow you to have a high level of protection of your identity; they don't require your real name, or other information, and they host in Canada, beyond the reach of local LE. Most providers will then accept your P411 without actually asking to see your real name in addition (that's what P411 is for, and how it works in many other cities). In Chicago, however, I believe that the long preponderance of RS2K as a verification method has led to an expectation that hobbyists should be expected to give out real info. P411 is the relatively newer form of verification here, so I think that's why we have this situation.  

To summarize, join P411, get some of the ladies you have already seen to give you OK's. Then only see providers who will accept P411 and who will not require your real ID. This will mean there are some that you have to pass up, but so what. There are plenty of outstanding, beautiful and well-reviewed ladies here, and many visitors, who will work with you.

As a provider, I accept both RS2K, P411 and references.  With any screening site, it's a good idea to do some screening yourself, I do every time.  I require ID verification, seeing a guy without knowing any of his real info is something I refuse to do, I like to walk away alive and unharmed.  If I don't have real info, all the screening in the world won't keep me safe.  Guys share P411 and RS2K info all the time.  Guys also know when you don't have their info and could take advantage.  This makes me worried about my safety. It's not the screening site or the info you give them or providers, it's the providers you choose.  I have been in the hobby for almost 10 years.  I have never abused, shared or saved anyone's personal info after our first meeting went well.  I understand the hesitation to share personal info, I can't blame anyone.  I have not seen gentlemen over them not wanting to give me their personal info.  It doesn't mean they were all bad guys, it just isn't a safe enough situation for me.    

As far as references, I require 2 recent (in the last 6 months) form providers I can verify are legit, established, professional and still active.  I verify the provider before contacting her...I'm not wasting anyone's time if I can't verify her.  The biggest problem I run into is gentlemen that see mostly BP girls can't give me a reference I can verify.

If it weren't for the bad guys us good guys won't need to be so cautious.  As long as the bad guys exist, we all have to make choices to protect ourselves. We can never eliminate the risk, only minimize it.

I've used RS2K, P411, Personal information and once just my word that I wasn't LE...

Personally I prefer using P411. Its straight forward and rarely am I asked for additional information. A few have, and I choose to provide it with one, not with the other.  

P411, shows a lady the list of other providers you've seen and she can choose to contact them is she wants to. Some do, some don't. For some it's a function of the number of Okays and recent activity. I imagine once you cross a certain number of Okay's they aren't as concerned. Maybe its the ladies I've asked to see of late, but I've noticed that most of them don't even read my profile anymore..

I'm less concerned with my information being out there then the possibility of running into the man. The man might (slim chance) get one of the sites to divulge your identity but it isn't actually proof of a crime. They might hassle you and try messing up your life, but short of you confessing they won't be able to secure a conviction.  A provider with your information is only slight dangerous. She could try to use it but it is a serious felony. (blackmail) So its unlikely.  

Ladies just like the guys want to feel safe. Using these tools and some common sense makes the hobby so much easier and safer then in years past.

Do p411 and that is it.  Done and done

But I like P411 for the simple fact of not being required to give out your full name to providers. All it takes is a BSC provider knowing your real name, and you might have some problems. I've experienced this first hand before when I was hitting the scene as a newbie.

i just learned from here the fact that you have to give provider your real name with RS2K, but not P411. i just joined P411, the aggressiveness they had during the verification process makes me uncomfortable to go over that again with RS2K (P411 called all the way until they reached my desk at work, and then verified some more).

personally, i don't mind giving the provider my real name; but i am not comfortable with my info kept on file with any website - P411 says they delete your info after the verification although there is no way hold them to that. i don't know about RS2K.

for any provider out there, why would you prefer RS2K than P411? if the real name is the issue, don't you get the real (at least the first) name as part of the P411 ID?

I posted on here back in October and a few of the girls went at me vehemently and said I jeopardized their safety.  

I am going to start this out by saying no one jeopardizes anyone's safety. We are all responsible for doing our own diligence who we see and how each and everyone of us screens. This goes for both sides.  

The providers claim for their own safety. However, I have seen several extremely mean posts on boards of providers saying I am going to call his work because something that happened such as the hobbyist shorted a girl, he cancelled without paying the cancellation donation and many other, in my honest opinion, stupid issues that will never get resolved regardless of who the girl contacts.  

Both sides have a lot at risk, the gentlemen, have their livelihoods, families, reputations, jobs amongst other things all at risk. If the gentlemen do not have jobs, providers do not have incomes to live the lifestyle they have bee accustomed too. There are ways to do verification on both sides without the other side knowing you have done the verification. Google is your best friend.

If the email does not check out you simply do not see them. You then request a valid email. You never accept a google number there is no exception. If the person can not give you a cell or talk to you on the phone its that simple I dont see them.  

I verify people as if I as hiring them when I was in corporate. You talk to them on the phone. A phone call will tell you everything you will need to know. You can also google their number while you are talking to them and they have no clue that you are verifying them.  

There are many tools on the internet. It seems that for everyone to be so concerned with their identity, many do not protect their identity. The majority of us can not clean up all of the traces to our names. Also, if you think you have your websites all protected if one digs deep enough we can all find out our real names.

I am not trying to "jeopardize" anyone's safety nor scare anyone. However, I am trying to make everyone aware that honesty is the best policy. I have never and I mean never in 5 years of being a provider have I ever had a problem with a gentlemen mistreating me or disrespecting my limitations, nor have I ever had a stalker (although I have never hosted in my home). I honestly think that being vindictive over something happening such as a gent not paying or he pushed your limits is to let it go. It happened, you are ok, the world didnt end, move on and learn from the experience so it will not happen again.  

The last thing I can say is there are thousands and thousands of sites you can do your research on the person you are going to see. If you dont feel good about the person and you didnt click in a phone call then you know the answer move on. See the girls that it dont seem like you are verified. Many of the gents who have seen me will say she didnt verify me... I can promise you I verified them without getting the information from them, it makes them feel more comfortable and the process is a lot easier for them but it is work for you.

If you want to see a girl who requires full real info then either provide it or walk, it is that simple.  We ask for what we need to feel safe, the same way you come here and read reviews and research us to make sure we are safe to visit.  Many of you would not dream of visiting a lady unless she is well reviewed and offers the services you want, that research is very important to you.  Our screening is the same.  

If you choose not to provide your real info to a lady you want to visit then seek out ladies that don't require real info for screening.  Easy Peasy

But to tell any person here how they should or should not protect themselves because of what you feel comfortable with is nuts.  Not everyones comfort levels is at the same place and trying to force a lesser screening process will not get you the best results.  

Personally I do not accept P411 on it's own, it has been infiltrated to many times by LE for me to trust it 100%.  RS though I really like and that fact notes can be made if there is an issue with a member

As a hobbyist, I think P411 is overrated to be honest.  I decided not to join P411 due to their history of being infiltrated by LE, as you mentioned.  Also, just because they are based in Canada doesn't shield them from LE in the US.  US and Canadian LE can always work together jointly, if illegal activity is suspected.

I've also been using RS2K and DateCheck for many years and haven't had any problems with their services or the providers that I've been seeing.  It's pretty much personal preference on how much info one chooses to share with a provider, so I do what works best for me.
