Since I'm not a member of TBD and don't go there I'm looking to the TER members for information.
After Cheryl's tragic death and Vanessa Sue's attack I have seriously considered leaving the hobby.
Can anyone provide the real facts from beginning to current concerning VS attack.
Appreciate the help !

From what I have been able to find out, The murder was not "hobby" related. That is not the final verdict however. As to VS story, I have no clue other than attention but even that seems out of line. Please keep in mind this comment is just a compilation of all that I have read or heard first hand. It should not be taken as facts. On a different note (but not so much) I hope when they catch the low life responsible for cheryl he falls down a long flight of stairs (many times) and that is before he attempts to resist arrest. Knowing several members of the CPD, They are VERY upset about this one.

The story seems to still be unfolding, but this is how I understand the story.

A few years ago she reported a similar attacked which then was considered to be a hoax behind the scenes but was never really questioned in public

She was not attacked this time, and she was asking for cash donations to be sent to a PO box

 
She has now been checked into medical care as there were concerns for her mental and physical health

What about this crime has the detectives or PO particularly upset?  It is a very sad day when anyone is killed, but I would have guessed that detectives in homicide in Chicago - Murder Capital USA (though recently improving) - are rather jaded...
