and although there may be some escorts that don't mind being called that, I think it's a bit demeaning to escorts, and women in general, to call them that at any time. Yes, you are paying them, and you may think they are supposed to do what you want but ..... they don't have to be labeled as whores - or other such derogatory names! How about cunt - another nasty one .. ! I know it's only a review and the dude can have his opinion ..........

If I were an escort and you inquired about seeing me and I looked up your reviews and they included an attitude that I thought, showed no respect for women, I would pass on seeing you. Everybody is different, escorts offer different services, but calling an escort a whore - to her face - doesn't seem right to me. I'd be afraid she'd bite my dick off!

I agree I enjoy the company of the ladies way to much to call them  whores,  Escort makes me feel better then saying Ive got an appt with a whore,   Honestly though I hear many of the ladies refer to themselves as hookers or whores more often then the men.  Perhaps more ladies could lead by example. Just my .02 cents.

For a member of a group to refer to him or her self or even another member of the same group with a label commonly thought of as derogatory is acceptable.  For an outsider to do so is not, except by request and in private.

To behave otherwise is insulting and rude, which for those who use the word may be the point.

...... context matters.... and well what matters most in the end is if THAT particular provider was offended by being called it or not. And also I believe you can only be insulted if you give it the power to hurt you.  Words by themselves aren't all bad it's the meaning people give to them.

Very true.  But unless one knows how the recipient will take the word (and the reviewer in this example might or might not know whether the lady was offended by being referred to as a whore in a review), one should avoid using the word.  No, I'm not being "politically correct."  I don't want rudeness (for lack of a better word) to be made illegal; I just think that those of us who find it inappropriate should say so publicly.

Even if a word does not hurt the recipient (no one insults me unless I let them), the speaker should not use such a word intending to hurt the recipient.  Such a person is an idiot, whether his being an idiot bothers her or not-unless he knows it doesn't bother her.

And yes, some derogatory words are worse than others, and context matters a lot.
